Air Dam Winglets have been received. They are gloss black and held on only with double-sided tape. The bigger pieces are outlined with double-sided tape entirely. The 4 smaller trim pieces have ONE strip of tape to mount above the existing trim. Will post once installed.

Cool. I am leaning towards ordering these so can't wait to see pictures especially how they look on a black car.

Good news is that MidCity Engineering did a phenomenally job installing the parking sensors and the rear diffuser. The parking sensors display how far you are in feet from the object as well as have the traditional lighted bars. Highly recommend their work if you have a luxury vehicle. Eric the installer there is an absolute mastermind.

Bad news is the Rear diffuser is more involved than what I've heard is needed for the SUV (finally got the parts). Additionally, Chicago enters lockdown tomorrow at 5pm. Feel like its the Purge until then.

Nice ! make a huge difference ! So you got the 63 S diffuseur , That's probably why it was so expensive !

I believe the only difference on the S is the "deflector shield" and "diffuser" which adds about $200.

$1700 not including labor. I had it installed with the parking sensors. Parking Sensors with parts and labor were about $1250. Diffuser removal and replacement were about 3 hours of labor...approximately $400.

Wait it cost you close to $4k for that rear end ? Damn ! OK now go slap those front vent "things" on with the 3M Tape and take pictures - lol I think I see your GTR to the left
in one of your new pictures.

haha yes but I added aftermarket sensors. My car didn’t come with it as when I was doing my search I mistakenly thought parking sensors were standard with the camera. So without parking sensors, the rear would cost you $2k.

Yup GTR is hiding over there lol. I have to film some in-home stretches for athletes and then I’ll try to do the from wings 🙃

Front Aero are installed. The fit is great, but you can see a tiny bit of the outline of the double-sided tape. I'll get some touch up paint and paint it black when I can. Other than that, I they look MUCH better in person, and gives it that subtle touch of aggressiveness the front end is missing. IMHO it should be a factory option like the aero package on the A and C class. Replacing the diamond grill is next.

Thoughts?

Thanks man I appreciate you posting the pix. I already have the night package so I am not sure I see much difference. It could also just be the pictures. I will say it is an improvement over the silver for sure.

Definitely worth it even with the night package. It gives it more of those nostril-like flares of the 63. It’s hard to see in pics. Try clicking my YouTube link and going to the last 40 secs of the video to see pics where the lighting is a bit better.

Good news they shipped yesterday so hoping they will arrive sooner. @BB what spacers and bolts did you go with ? I am thinking the magic number for me is 15MM(F) and 25MM(R). I will be running the MB 21's the same that came on your coupe. Going for a Stock + look.

I ended up running no spacers front or rear after swapping wheels and getting the alignment. I didn't want to have to deal with two wheel lock keys something that is supposed to be almost strictly baby duty.

New Wheels are on. I ended up going with Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus Tires in 265/40/21 and 295/35/21. These are standard sizes for the 63 and 10mm wider front and rear than the 21 inchers on the 43. Pretty much the only size for all-seasons they make that fit. My final lowering height is -25mm. Considering sport and sport+ modes drop the car 15 more millimeters, the car will be at 40 most of the time which is a pretty big drop suspension wise. Since alignments are free for the next 3 years, I may even go down to -20mm drop.

Thanks! I did have them painted red about the same time I had the front windows tinted. I wish I had them powdercoated instead of painted but we will see how they hold up.
