Comparing Different Levels of Modifcations using my GLC63s

Each time that I've modified my GLC63s I've brought it to the track. Unfortunately, I never ran it stock as I had a Renntech ECU tune done on the day that I picked it up. The 1/4 mile times posted below may seem on the slow side for many of you but I live in Denver and we have some pretty horrific DA's at Bandimere. Between 8,500' and 10,000' feet above sea level is normal during the summer. Below are the list of modifications, 1/4 mile time, and the DA on that day. My GLC63s is a 2018 and all runs were on 91 octane. And to give you an idea as to how bad the air sucks up here I also have a McLaren 570s with catless DPs and a DME tune. Best it's done is a 10.9 at 132 MPH which is terrible compared to the same car, with the same mods, at sea level.

Renntech ECU tune only:
-DA was approx 9500'
60' 1.844
330 5.32
1/8 mile 8.238
MPH 84.29
1000 10.759
ET 12.894
MPH 105.51

Renntech ECU tune (same as above) with Solo Motorsports TCU/Tune
DA was approx 9000'
60' 1.737
330 4.994
1/8 mile 7.745
MPH 89.65
1000 10.118
ET 12.137
MPH 111.27

Weistec W3 turbos, Solo Motorsports TCU/CPU tune, Weistec W3 ECU tune, catless DP
-DA was approx 8600'
60' 1.701
330 4.759
1/8 mile 7.33
MPH 96.01
1000 9.552
ET 11.439
MPH 119.45

I have a friend who also has a GLC63s. He just upgraded to the Weistec W4 turbos but hasn't run it yet. Before upgrading to Weistec W4's he had Renntech Stage 2 turbos, catless DP, with a TCU/CPU tune and ran this:
-DA unknown but probably between 8500' -9500'
60' 1.749
330 4.792
1/8 7.341
MPH 96.67
1000 9.535
ET 11.398
MPH 121.16

This week I'm having the Weistec air intake system installed along with water/meth injection and a Weistec tune that takes advantage of the water/meth injection. It will be interesting to see how much of an improvement that I see at the track. I'm also having it dynoed on Tuesday before the new modifications are installed. I'll do a before and after. I also have a 2019 GLC63 (like them so much that I bought two!) with a DME tune. I'll try and get it to the track to compare it to the Renntech tune. I just purchased a Eurocharged E50 tune for the 2019 which hasn't been installed yet. I'll also get some times once it's installed.

The Weistec W3 upgrade is very much worthwhile. Driveability is excellent and the car is much faster. I'm hugely impressed by the difference that the Solo Motorsports TCU/CPU tune makes. Literally a night and day difference and a must for a tuned AMG in my opinion. Far exceeded my expectations.

I'll post dyno results and new 1/4 times as soon as I have them!

Unfortunately for your location it isn't going to get much better with that DA and elevation. In our GLC63 WhatsApp group chat we have a member that has every mod you can think of his best time with a boost leak was 11@127mph in denver with 15k DA. If you're interested man send me a PM and i can send you the invite for the group chat to bounce ideas off of the guys we have about 20+ GLC owners with mods ranging from stock to Stage 4.

The gentleman with the boost leak is the same guy who had the stage 2 renntech turbos. His GLC is pretty wild. And there's no way the DA hit 15,000 here. I've been racing for 20 years at Bandimere and I've never seen the DA anywhere near that high. I'll be able to squeeze some more power out of it with the water/meth injection and a race gas tune. I'll be happy with low 11's and low 120's.

I haven't met Michael but I know know the gentleman with the W4's. He had Renntech stage 2's before he went all out. His GLC is pretty amazing. He has a clear hood so you can see the W4's. Really, really cool.

Do you know where Micheal got the W.4 tune from? Dont see any info on a tune that supports the W.4s from Weistec.
