GLC63 DYI intake 3/4" alum riser spacer

Hi guys, seen this mod done before on C63(s) which is eventually the same as our GLC63's, surely know I'm not the first but wanted to share. Was inspired by this thread to do this mod. https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...ntake-mod.html
Decided use 3/4" alum that was purchased from Home Depot for 20 bucks and carefully bend to shape to match the lip on the lower intake tray. Already has the BCM filters (not sure if they really make a different) so I'm using them instead of the paper filter. Needed 3/4" longer screws which I had. Also noticed its been mentioned that the air box can be limited on air flow so I added a hole saw drilled hole opening on both outboard sides for more air flow. Thinking about adding some more holes for more flow but not sure the balance between more flow and more engine heat it may suck in...
Regardless if feels a little snappier off throttle and can hear a little of the intake air. Simple cheap and to the point lol. Will do some dragy runs to compare before and after to see if it actually did anything work the trouble.
