AMG 43 sunroof rattles -- anyone else?

I have a 2020 AMG 43 with the sunroof, and it rattles like crazy. In fact, the entire car rattles like a bucket of bolts, but after taking it to the shop twice to address other rattles, the last remaining rattle (I hope) is with the headliner surrounding the sunroof. I've been shoving weatherproofing foam tape around the openings to get them to stop rattling, but it's only partially working. The main rattle is above the console contraption where you put your sunglasses. It's driving me nuts, and I don't want to take it into the shop for a third time. I'm absolutely shocked at how poor the build quality is of this seventy-effing-thousand dollar car. Honestly, if I could rid myself of this POS I would do so in a heartbeat, but I'm stuck with it for now. I'm 2,000 miles into this car and I already want to sell it.

Anyone else have this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

I had a similar rattle but it ended up being my sunglasses in the glass holder. Most of my rattling comes from the back hatch on my 63 coupe.

Oh yeah, I put sunglasses in there once too, and immediately took them out because they rattled like crazy. It's pretty stupid that Mercedes can't make a silent sunglasses holder. It's like they build stuff and don't ever test it. Every other car I've owned had no problem with this.

That's not what's rattling though. In fact, the dealership thought the entire sunglasses case unit was the problem and replaced the entire console, but that solved nothing. My problem is most definitely with the headliner itself. When it rattles I can push up on the headliner and it mutes the rattle. So I've been pulling the headliner down and shoving foam tape in there. I'm making some progress, but it still rattles. Next up will be me removing the headliner (if I can), and gaffer taping the hell out of everything. After two trips to the dealer, time to take matters into my own hands.

Once again, Mercedes' build quality is ****.

I have a 2018 GLC43 and have never had any rattles around the sunroof (or any rattles for that matter). Sunglasses in the sunglass holder in the roof are completely silent.

FWIW, I took delivery of my 2020 GLC43 about 2 months ago and have about 1700mi on the clock.

Pleasantly surprised at the lack of rattles. The only thing I've really noticed is that when I put my elbow on the top of door panel, it will make sorta a crackle noise, just until the arm is settled in position.
