Auto Start/Stop Failure
I took delivery of my 2021 GLC63 SUV a little over two months ago and several times the vehicle did not restart after the auto stop engaged. I have seen postings in other forums about this as well. When I took it to my dealer they said that this issue has been going on for the past 4 model years across many of their models. For GLEs and cars with the 48 volt system they sometimes have to remove the engine and transmission to fix the starter/48 v power assist. The GLC 63 does not have this 'feature'. It has been in the shop for a week. Apparently they have to take lots of data, send it to Germany and wait for information. Today I found out that they are doing more tests. They have found the car failed 5 times. It is bad enough that this should happen on this car, but to hear that they have not been able to fix this problem for 4 model years is pretty discouraging. Has anyone else had this problem with their GLC 63?
