New GLC63 or used E63S Wagon?

I've had the pleasure of owning a 2014 E63S wagon for almost three years. However, my MB ELW will expire in March and I want to sell the car before it hits 50k miles. If money was no object, it'd be an easy answer - get the facelifted 2021 E63S wagon this fall. Alas, money doesn't grow on trees, so here are the options I'm considering:

Option 1 - lease a new GLC63 for three years and then buy a used 2021 or 2022 E63S wagon
Option 2 - buy a 2018 or 2019 used E63S wagon, keep it for ~ 3 years, then get the facelifted wagon

Obviously, I'm in the GLC forum so I have to assume some bias, but would be interested in opinions. I drove a GLC63 the other day and was very pleasantly surprised. The engine is obviously fantastic but it was the driving dynamics that really surprised me - it feels very solid, very planted. I'd be giving up ~ 0.4 seconds of 0-60 time with the GLC but 3.8 is still plenty fast. However...it's not a really cool wagon. The 2018/2019 wagon is very cool, but why would I get the previous model? Each option has pros and cons for sure.

Hard call, my next door neighbor has the wagon and I love it.

A lowered Coupe also makes a heck of a car. BTW, a stock GLC 63s can run 3.4's with a roll out at 3.30.

Here is my Coupe and my Draggy 0-60.

Looks great for sure, I'm looking at the SUV. Need the cargo space to haul a hockey bag plus coaching gear/supplies....

For me, The E63S Wagon is way more car in every way.
I have a 19 GLC and love the hell out of it but I am certain I want to pick up an 18 wagon at the end of the year.
Wagons actually have more space than the C-based SUV from what I have looked at (not measured).
The bigger car is more comfortable than the smaller SUV. massage seats are also a factor plus drift mode option. Also more power.
The only plus in your case is having Warranty on the new GLC vs less on a used E63.

I still say go E63 if you find a wagon at about 80k.
i have a search notification on autotrader for them.

Definitely more room in the wagon but for me the GLC would be sufficient which is why I am viewing it as a possible stopgap until I could get a reasonable price on a used wagon.

Later this year 80K might be attainable, but if you've been looking at these cars for awhile then you know they're the rare breed that doesn't get killed with depreciation. It took me nine months to find the right car and even then it was a small compromise - the color wasn't what I wanted but everything else about the car, including it's provenance, was spot on.

I've got some time. My ELW doesn't die until March and I've only got ~37K miles on it, I expect it'll have around 44-45 by the time March rolls around. But I have to say, the GLC63 was really a pleasant surprise to the point where it's in the mix, again as a short term fix until I can get back into the wagon...but that'd be a 2-3 year commitment.

man, I am a wagon guy all the way. The only reason I wanted a Mercedes was indeed the E63 wagon. My life would have been a lot simpler if we even got the C63 wagon.
I bought the SUV knowing I would definitely go to a wagon and the 18 E63 seems to be falling to that comfort level. autotrader currently has 2 at around 80k and a little more close to 90k.

Looks great! I love the blue, that's my ideal color as well. That's also where I compromised, I wanted blue but this car had everything else going for it. Here's my 2014 after a recent wash.

A lot
Someone mentioned earlier that the wagon was more comfortable but as far as stiffness and harshness I think the GLC is going to be more comfortable in that respect? Am I wrong?
