Launch control on glc63s? Is there only the "brake/gas" way to do it?

Could only find that one by googling. Race, traction off, brake hard, gas hard, release brake. There's no other way to do it?

And I believe it revs to 4000rpm. Is there any way to do a lower rpm?

And does this damage the car if I do this like..2-3 times a week?

Is there a reason you haven't read the Race Start chapter in the owner's manual? Because the procedure etc. is pretty well explained there. It works in S, S+ and Race with ESP On, Sport or Off. Yes, you can adjust the launch rpm by using the shift paddles. Left paddle lowers it by 100 rpm at a time and the right paddle increases it by 100 rpm at the time. Again, it's all explained in the owner's manual.

Yes, the owner's manual. Should have come with your car, but they can also be found online.

Regarding engine strain, yes it most certainly strains the engine and the drivetrain as does driving a car hard in general. The harder you drive it, the more wear and tear you'll have. Launching a car is particularly hard with AWD, because the wheels tend to slip less due to the grip, so the drivetrain has to absorb all the forces. There are protections built into Race Start. If the transmission gets too hot for example. it won't allow you to do a Race Start again until things have cooled down. Similarly if things haven't reached operating temperature yet it also won't let you do it. I haven't come across anything with AMG yet, but some models from other brands that have an automated clutch like the MCT transmission instead of a torque converter have a limit on how many total launches you can do in order to limit clutch wear and make sure the transmission lasts for the life of the car. Launching is hard on the start-up clutch and if there is no hard limit, you will eventually need to replace the clutch pack. As with hard driving in general, it all comes down to proper maintenance. The harder you are on the car, the more maintenance you gonna have to do.

Yep, but it is an AMG and they are for beating on....

This model doesn't seem to have much protection in it since a lot of us take them to the drag strip and make a lot of passes.
