VRP C63 (s) GLC63 3" Dual Intake Kit
Good luck with your sales as I do know many peeps have purchased this, as for myself I’ll pass. 😅
The VRP 3" dual intake kit for the W205 C63, C63s, and GLC63 is here!
We are currently the only company to utilizing large 3″ tubing from filter to turbo to accommodate the some of the largest filters on the market!
This kit covers performance and aesthetic all in one go. These extra wide intakes will enhance the already incredible turbo spool sound in the M177 engine while providing a better throttle response and maximized airflow!
Available with or without intake heat panels
These intakes can be ceramic coated in a variety of colors for optimal heat resistance!
This kit includes large reusable and re-washable K & N filters!
**These kits ship with K&N filters by default which do not require the Filter sensors shown in the photo
Retail: $550

First things first, there are no install instructions when you receive this kit. Only a link to a 3rd party youtuber who mostly covers the install somewhat decent. Even he fails to address how to handle to resirc tubes this kit doesnt have provisions for. The youtuber also had to trim some plastic electrical guides to get his to fit with the hood closed. I didnt have to do this, presumably due to the extra engine bay room and hood height. VRP spend the time to make your own install instructions, you make a product for $100k+ vehicles.
Second, the intake tubes only mount via the couplers onto the turbos and kinda "dangle" out in space with the filters able to move somewhat due to the give in the couplers. Not signs, in my opinion, of a well engineered kit designed for anything and everything. It will be "fine", just not engineered to the degree im used to for the variety of aftermarkets i purchased through history.
As far as performance, I dont suspect there is much hp to be gained from intakes. I mostly purchased these for extra intake and turbo sound because my GLC63 did not come optioned with the AMG exhaust and wanted to supplement with other fun sounds. However, these are big 3" tubes with large K&N filters, they will flow whatever you need besides maybe the most extreme turbo swaps. People have complained about these being "hot air" intakes. Unsure if these concerns are substantiated as these cars are air to water intercooled and i believe that means intake temps have much less effect in the short term and your intercooler water temps being much more important. Could be wrong.
Overall, meh, got some cool sounds for ~$450 on sale. I wouldnt go showing it off though.
