Hi everyone,

I currently own a BMW X1 and plans to buy glc 43 amg coupe. I took a test drive today. I am trying a sport segment vehicle for the first time.

I noticed a weird bass sound inside the cabin through out. It doesnt seems to be tire noise, but a bass noise from the engine inside the cabin. If I turn on the exhaust note, the sound increases ( exhaust note shouldnt come inside unless I turn it on? ).
I was in comfort mode and was not above 40 kmph. I never heard such a sound in bmw x5 or m340i. Is this a default sound inside glc 43?

I had a handful of awful noises in the cabin of my 43 until I took the Goodyear run flats off and put a different set of wheels and tires on it. It hums ever so quiet now and all the terrible noises, some caused by vibration and just harsh ride, are all gone.

Thanks for the response. Could you tell me what configuration of tyres did you use and which brand?
