Diff oil change, GLC63

Diff oil change, GLC63
As I understand it, the 2000 mile diff oil isn't required any longer. But being easy to do I thought what the heck.
Just turned 2100 miles at the conclusion of a road trip (bourbon trail). Had 3 quarts of Mobil 1 75w-140 waiting. Notes:
For the temp sensor, after you push the white retainer out you need to push it down while trying to remove it.
The fill plug is a LARGE hex socket head, luckily I had one in the tool box.
It only takes 1.5 liters to fill. When they say "get 3 bottles" they are assuming 0.5 liter bottles. I didn't know they made 0.5 liter bottles.
The oil was rather dirty. I took a sample and sending it in for analysis.
Easy and cheap service, no need to pay the dealer to do this. ever.

Thanks for the info!
I'm really curious how your oil analysis comes back. Most of these active "sport" diffs have some pretty strict oil change guidelines so MB eliminating the requirement is surprising.
Specifically, my M2c had a 1200 mile "free" dealer-change requirement or they'd void the diff warranty. Oil looked like somebody dumped a bag of glitter in it while draining. Supposedly normal, expected, and everyone that's watched it done had same experience. Have always been curious if it was related to some ring and pinion mating ritual or clutch pack bedding in... I haven't heard that about the MB FWIW

I changed out mine at 1500 miles and it came out black, MB calls for castro syntrax limited slip which is golden in color but the factory fill that drained out seems to be dark green in color? I wonder what they used in factory fill.

They didn't say "you didn't need to change that oil". They said it looked normal. I'm glad I changed the oil, it looked terrible. When I changed my GT500 diff oil at similar miles it didn't look this bad, but didn't test it.
You do you, I'd change it again if it were mine.
