Blacked out badges
I have been trying to find them on eBay but it’s hard to tell which ones are good or not. Can anyone assist ? Would prefer black chrome but not easy to find.

From what I read and talked to shops, none of these are good that we see on amazon/ebay. They are cheap plastic with much worse adhesives aka if you put them on and go through a few carwashes, they will almost definitely either start fading or peel off the car. I really wanted to get some too for that blacked out look but I'd rather keep the badges on.

stock badges also are made out of plastic. even if they are listed as "black chrome". But yes, the ebay badges do fade over time. The clear coats they use don't seem to last but you can add a better quality clear over the badges before mounting them to make the finish more durable.

The ones I got from ebay are just as good as the originals I took off. They have been on my car for 3 years without issues. I will see if I can find the link but they are in a Mercedes labeled bag and are from a US seller. I got them in like 3 days.

TBH, I’d rather keep the originals and have them professionally coated with Black/ Chrome and or have them wrapped equally in the same colour…perhaps just black!?
I’ve not seen too many, if any at all; on EBay that would be a quality piece.
Paste your links lads so all can pursue the quality available:

I ordered the rear trunk merc emblem from this seller here in Cali. Should arrive Saturday, if I like the quality I'll order the rest of the badges from him https://www.ebay.com/itm/333719541318

I tried the Plasti-Dip (Hyper-Dip) product for Emblems & Trim. It's been 6 months since applying the product & getting car washed once a week, Still looks like new. Seems to be as durable as any wrap products.
The preparation time to clean & tape off the areas takes most of the time to complete. If you can find someone who does this at their shop it might be worth paying for a Pro to do it. Mine turned out looking great & seems to be very durable.
The rear camera door Merc Emblem is a PITA to remove, This was the only issue I had. If not removed though, the Emblem can't be painted on all sides.
The Emblem kit is a Matte black and looks really sharp.

@Gatekeeper, I agree with having the eyebrows wrapped, looks far better. Would do the same to my GLC 63s later. ATM I’ve got other pressing aspects to the car to finish off. Some a$$hat dented the rear door of my car slightly when he opened his rear door into mine at my car park. Very miffed as the guy works for the same company whose employee at NS did the exact same F’ing thing to my, at the time new, BMW X6 M Coupe. Caused over $3000 in damage and never paid for it, he even laughed at it MF. Couldn’t do anything due to management politics and Trumpian lies.

Very presumptuous given the variety I’ve seen and had experience with via other friends who have actually ordered some. Same materials…? Same quality…!? Some are perhaps, hence the request for links and others experience.
