I'm considering these tires to replace the OEM ones. Any updates from everyone who installed these and drove a good amount since? Any drawbacks compared to OEM? Thanks!

Zero drawbacks. Absolutely none at all. If it sounds like I'm being sarcastic, I'm not. The Michelin's have given me the car I thought I was buying, not a rattling bucket of bumps that the run-flats gave me. (I've got about 1000 miles on mine, and they've gotten better as they've broken in.)

I had fronts changed early due to hydro planing in heavy rain with stock GY, lately changed rear to the Michelin, I noticed ride better, less bumping and thumping noise with higher inflation of 41 vs running the GY at 36-37 to try to soften. I haven't tried the new MI at 37 yet but should be even better. So now waiting about 25k more miles before I will need the MI fronts next.

Yeah, I can't compete with that price. Someone should pick these up just on principle alone.

Question Will these work on a 2020 GLC 63s?

I am new to having a car with summer tires and was kind of shocked at the risks associated with driving them in the winter/cold, so I found this thread. I checked a bunch of sites and Costco says these will fit, but the Michelin site doesn't show these when you use the car guide (they are available otherwise if you search by size). Is there any reason they wouldn't work well?

Michelin - Pilot Sport All Season 4
Front Tires
Tire Size: 265/40ZR21/XL

Rear Tire
Tire Size: 295/35ZR21/XL

But GOOD NEWS - Michelin has just released their CrossClimate2 line in both sizes we need (255/45/20 & 285/40/20)!

I put my set on yesterday, and after a couple trips in the car I can tell you they're an incredible improvement over the harsh ride quality of the Goodyears. They're quiet, they're softer, and they're Michelin's. Go read the reviews on the CrossClimate2 and you'll see how great they are.

I've been waiting two years for this day. If you also want to ditch the run-flats, I can't recommend these tires enough. Technically the 285's aren't supposed to be out until May, but I called Tire Rack directly and they were shipped within a few days - they have them in stock right now. Also, Amazon is running a special on the ResQ Pro+ air compressor with tire sealant - it's down to $60. Throw that in your trunk and you'll be good to go.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Happy Day!

How's the Michelin CrossClimate2 experience so far? I live in Seattle as well and I was wondering if they are good in the rain and also in the summer since they look more of winter tires.

Oh man, I haven't looked back. I could not be happier with these tires in any season, summer, winter, rain, heat, anything. I've even taken them out a couple times in those really bad snow storms we had last year and the year before, and the car hasn't even flinched. Everything about these tires is an improvement over the run-flats. If you're thinking about getting the Michelin's, just do it.

Yeah Ditch the Runflats!, I did with my GLC 43 went to the Michelin CrossClimate2's ,big difference, nice quiet, smooth ride. ( I also ordered a spare when I purchased the car, 'cause I knew I would switch). HOWEVER, I only kept the GLC for 2940 more miles, I swapped the run flat tires back to trade the GLC. I was going to use the CrossClimate's on the new vehicle but the fit wasn't as good. Sooo if anybody wants (2) 255/45/R20 & (2) 285/40/R20 with 2940 miles, and are close to Tucson, AZ give me a PM.

For the folks with Michelin CrossClimate2, how have they performed long term? My Goodyear run flats are nearing end of life and considering the CrossClimate2 or the Falken Azenis FK460 A/S. I'm onboard with the CrossClimate2 except for the look of the side walls. The V's ending at the sidewall looks more offroad'ish and sports car'ish to me.

If it helps any, I would buy them ten more times over those awful run-flats. The CC2s have been amazing in all types or weather. I know nothing about the Falkens though, they weren't an option when I got the Michelins.

I am new to Mercedes with a 24 amg 43 coupe and as its just turning 1 month old I have not needed tires and mine are staggered 21's, however I have had Cross climates on three of my vehicles and currently on two as well as I have bought these for employees as bonus/gifts and I am extremely happy with them. I live in a snow belt and while these are not snow tires they work, also excellent in rain and great on dry. I could not recommend them enough.

I installed a set of CC2s on my X7, swapping out the OE 22" staggered Continental RFs for 20" squared up Michelins. Ride is much better (quieter, less harsh), and grip on wet pavement feels better. Not sure yet about snow performance but others report they live up to their 3MPSF rating.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the CrossClimate2 in all aspects of the ratings and reviews, but haven't been able to get past the look of the tread pattern just yet. Wish Michelin offered something of a more traditional looking tread pattern in All Season.

There are so few offerings in tires for this staggered 20" setup. Not crazy about the snow ratings on the Falkens or Bridgestones either and the Pirellis are crazy expensive and not much better.

I don't spend much time staring at my tire treads, and in fact, I can't even see them from the driver's seat. But I can tell how well they're gripping the road surface. I'd rather be the guy successfully navigating a snow-packed road than be the guy with the fancy wheels and tires who's planted in the ditch.
