GLC63 conundrum, sell?

So I bought my wife this 63 and while she likes the power she is not in love with the car. Likes it, not love it. While I'd like to have it as my hotrod, I already have toys and not needing another, sadly space is an issue.

Thinking of letting it go. Dealer offered me a decent price over the phone, pending in spection. Are there better options to selling it back to the dealer and what are they?

Has about 6,000 mile on it, mostly driven by her to work and back and a few highway trips. Installed all season tires, have the original take off tires with 2,000 miles on them. New engine oil/filter, diff oil changed. All else is as new. What is my best option?

Thx, NIXDSG

This place is a joke.
Compare offers from CarMax and Caravana which can be done online. Or try listing it on carsandbids.com if you're willing to handle the financial transaction yourself.

Dealers are paying more now than they did a year ago for used cars… the same cars with 1 year more mileage.

if you can get a good trade in, go for it but think about what you will replace it with. That’s important because the dealerships are up charging those too

Sorry, I missed it in the OP.

No, not a 100k. I'll go this week for an official offer, expecting a low ball after a good "ballpark" over the phone number.

I would shop around and get a price from givemethevin before visiting the dealer. I'd assume you should get pretty close to MSRP.

Interesting, I was going to do that after I got a official number from the dealer. Hummm, I'll need to think about that.

Yeah, my GLC63 could have brought me 15-20k more on a lease buyout but there was nothing I wanted to replace it with. No new GLC63 models, of course. BMW X3M was the closest comparable but 4-cylinder, yuck. X6M would be like $50k more for only slightly more performance over a tuned GLC63 and it weighs 500 more pounds. So I bought the car, which I've always loved, and will keep going. Have some new $7k wheels coming as well, so I'm committed.

Stereolab, I love the sound and performance of this car, it rocks! Just not for the wife I guess. It was an attempt at getting her a nice car and me a toy, oh well.

I'm getting ready to sell mines as well. So far I just got a few online quotes

2020 w/ 12K miles. Original Sticker 86,400
CarMax: Won't give offer online
Shift $69,100
Carvana $64,570

I texted my dealership last night to see what they would offer to buy it back.

Don't let them low ball you, they are getting prime markups on CPO's, my dealer was excited I was willing to trade my 21 C63 in on my 22 GLC43. They gave me what I paid for it, but it does only have 4K miles on it and is pristine with all the desired options. Good time to trade if you can find a dealer that won't rape you with ADM's-and assuming they have what you want.

Talked to the dealer, said they would provide a buy out number based on kbb. That can't good.

I'm surprised no one on this forum hasn't made an offer on it yet. Plenty of ppl looking for a 63 just for the engine alone.

What a joke. You should be able to get close to what you paid for it if you sell it yourself. I just sold a 911 and got what I paid for it 6 years ago. It's a sellers market.

I just checked cars.com for used GLC63 nationwide and there are 125... there are quite a few on the market. Probably can get over 70 selling yourself but not much more based on what I'm seeing.

Dealership offered 75k for trade in. Get to drive the car till the new one comes in. I'm good with this.

The BMW X3M doesn not have a 4-cylinder, it's an inline 6 which is now in the new M3 and M4. Good pass eitherway as you would have hated the firm ride in the X3M.

I traded the GLC63 in, 7 000 miles on it. In total we got almost 80k for it. In total I'm down only a few grand.

The performance of that vehicle is nice, but a lot of disappointments.

So long MB owners, was fun.
