2022 GLC43: changing lanes when cruise activated
Have a 2022 GLC43 (Canada) for the past 5 months. I have noticed when I try to change lanes on a highway, while I have my cruise activated, the car seems to resist making the lane change even though I give my indicator/signal and there is no other car behind me in the lane that I want to change into. I literally have to force the car to change lanes. Anyone experiencing this? I am sure I must be doing something wrong. Any help/advice will be appreciated. Thnx.

I have the same/similar issue with my car. I turned off LKA and active lane change and it will still on occasion and very randomly resist lane changes with the blinker. Resist in the sense that it jerks the steering wheel back and tries to keep me in lane. The useless dealer as usual isn’t able to fix it. I’ve reported to the NHTSA. I suggest you do the same. It’s very east online. Let me know what the dealer does (if anything), but something is broken in our cars and I consider this semi dangerous.

If your dealer is able to figure out what my dealer could not, would you mind posting your work order so I can show it to mine?
Here’s the link to report a safety issue with the NHTSA. https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#index
Thank you.

I took my car to the dealer and as suspected, they were not able to recreate the problem nor did they ever 'hear about this particular issue'. Typical of a dealer. I really wasn't expecting much from them. I am going to look into the NHTSA. The thing is, I am Canadian, so not sure how much I can do with NHTSA.
Thanks.

Sorry for the really late response. I have been travelling the last little while.

also, I am not sure if this is part of the cause but I doubt Canada has such a feature implemented as this type of overtaking is not illegal in Canada (not that im aware of): https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post8412891

Of course they play ignorant. That’s their forte.
I haven’t taken mine back yet. I’m saving up a long list if broken crap in my car and I’m going to have them futilely try and fix all of many issues during my first service visit because I refuse to let this car inconvenience me anymore. Going to the dealership is worse than going to a dentist.
