Good to see the result! Cam magnets were the answer?

Bot sure, but it definitely is running better.
I just took a 1 hour drive in it to clear my head, lot of fun.
Unfortunately, compared to my 911 it still feels slow and the sad thing is the 911 is going in for a tune in Monday.
Also, it feels like the exhaust is artificially muffled, it sounds great, just needs a little more. I have heard the older ones are louder.

The Benz definitely could use a tune to unlock some power, but I don't want to void the CPO.

Took it out this morning, 0-60 3.82 and 1.89 60' time with 3/4 tank of fuel.
Does better with TC all the way off.

Well you are comparing a SUV to a 911, I bet the 911 will feel faster. It's the same when I go between my AMG and my 02 Vette, the feel is way different even though the power levels are close. Agree on waiting to tune it, you just got it all sorted out, drive it as is and enjoy it, you want to rail? Take the 911 out! When I need to flog, I take the vette. It is cheaper to keep up and I can get parts at Napa! That's the only down side (IMO) if you flog these cars, they are expensive to keep up compared to a LS1 or similar-

I definitely will make sure the Benz is OK before doing anything.
It is just such a nice car to drive as a daily.
As for the 911, I just dropped it off and trying to decide between the 650hp or 750hp package.

Update:

The GLC63 is running great, it cuts consistent 0-60s in the 3.8s with rollout according to my dragy in 40 degree weather on cold unprepped streets.
60' times are consistent 1.9s with some 1.89s in the same conditions.
It sounds stronger too and just has a lot more grunt during normal driving.

As for the 911 Turbo S, I ended up doing a tune, it netted me 543whp on the dyno.
In 37 degree weather on a cold unprepped street it has cut a 1.61 60' time and a 2.59 0-60. Best 1/8th was a 6.82@102.89.

I have a 20 glc63. Same issue with cel because of the thermostat. The last time I brought the car in, I was complaining about the lack of response to throttle from a stop.

They reset the light after doing the test and within a week, the light was back on. When I brought it back, my service advisor and I were discussing extended warranties. I asked if there were common expensive repairs and he mentioned the oil separators.

Do we know if the thermostat going bad always leads to the oil separators being bad as well? They want to charge me $1500 to replace the separators.

Was there anything else that went wrong with yours or anyone give me a list of other items that I should make them check.

Thanks in advance love the thread

also, they’re telling me the thermostat is on backorder and could take months to come in. So I’m driving the car with the light on and no ability to use remote start.

Anyone know when these thermostats might be coming in or if they’re available?

Glad the Thread was able to help.
Unfortunately that car is long gone.
I traded it for a 2023 C8 Corvette Convertible which got Lemon Lawed for a bad transmission, it was in the shop 4+ months.
That was replaced with a 2024 C8 Corvette Z06 Convertible which is now on its 4th CEL in 8 months, I am done with the New Corvettes. I have started the Lemon Law process after the car left me stranded 80 miles from home.
My trusty 10 year old Porsche is still running strong with 57K miles.
