I'm playing around on the Mercedes store and noticed there's the Mercedes-Benz Navigation for $550 that's available for purchase. I just bought my car so a lot of services are free for the first year, and I've already used the navigation system (the AR is really cool), so what is this? Is it an additional thing? I'm also getting traffic and accident information which this says it has.
In my 22 GLC43, that is a "permanent option" which means you never have to pay for the NAV software again (550 bucks), but you will have to pay for map updates after your first year. And then all of the other features are "yearly" subscriptions like:
Remote Start 35 bucks a year
Online Map Update 40 bucks a year
NAV Services 30 bucks a year
Stolen Vehicle assistance. 25 bucks a year
It is130 bucks a year for stuff I really hardly use-Doubt I will renew mine in June-
The traffic inputs are from the MB system and you get those automatically from other MB with the newer systems as they all report conditions to the MB cloud.

That option is for vehicles that didn't come with navigation activated from the factory. It's a one-time purchase to activate it, but sounds like your car was already ordered with navigation activated, so this doesn't apply to you. Sounds like a bug in the store. It should say that it was already purchased for your VIN.
If you log in to the store it should say which services and extras are actually available for purchase for your vehicle and which ones have already been purchased previously. For example I didn't renew Remote Engine Start, but renewed everything else for my vehicle.

Ok, that makes sense. It shows all the navigation features as active but still has it for sale. I guess I’ll see what it looks like in a year but otherwise I should be good.
Another question, can you adjust the audio warning on the blind spot assist? I’d like it louder but haven’t seen where you can do that, only the parking alerts.
