Thinking about getting a GLC63s
The thing that bothers me the most is I thought the 7speed MCT was pretty rough but the 9speed MCT is worse in terms of being smooth.

Biggest thing is the GLC is much much heavier. 0-60 is deceptive, because of the AWD traction up to about 30 mph. Once you are moving, the same engine you have in your C now has to move an additional 500+ lbs. That's a lot of weight. You will feel that in more than one way. On top of that the GLC has a much higher center of gravity, so you'll bobble and roll around. It won't even be nearly as nimble as the C. ESP is also more conservative. From what I've read it's never really fully off, even if you turn it off, because SUVs always have the risk of toppling over due to the higher center of gravity, so ESP is never fully off and will intervene to keep it upright.
Suspension will be rougher as well. Due to the higher weight and center of gravity, the suspension has to be firmer to keep the car from rolling all over and manage the weight. It's a complaint that you can read about in the forums. The 9-MCT transmission also seems to be rougher in the GLC. My suspicion is it's due to 4Matic. More moving parts in the drivetrain. I love the 9-MCT in my 2019 C63S.

Besides that as others mentioned you can feel the weight difference so in stock form the power difference is very very noticeable. Of course this can be fixed with tune etc but the worst part for me is the jerky 9spd MCT. Just can’t find it to drive smooth and kills the entire car for me. It’s at the point I was just going to sell it but the wife wanted to drive it as it doesn’t seem to bother her as much. So I’m just driving around her Audi sq7.

I made the move from 2017 c63s to a 2021 GLC63s and have been in the GLC now for nearly 2 years. Yes, it's not drift happy, tail happy or as 'fun' as the c63 but I knew that and am okay with that - as I have less and less opportunity to drive it in that manner anyway. What I do get in return is a more spacious cabin, updated dash/mbux etc as the others have mentioned. From a drive perspective, both vehicles had a tune and I can break traction easily in the GLC should i wish to and off the line - it definitely has an edge over the RWD c63s. Once rolling, it's a much of a muchness but towards higher output, again the GLC still sticks it more than the c63s. This is all roughly in a straight line of course. Throwing a big heavy unit with a higher centre of gravity around corners though... that's a different story and again - i don't have much opportunity to do this these days.
Trasnmission wise - i might be a weirdo but found the c63s to be far rougher and jerkier than the GLC.
Would be keen to see what your views are once/if you get the chance to compare both for yourself OP
