No power inside the car

Hi all,

I recently purchased a 2022 GLC Coupe AMG. The car was flooded a year ago and was sitting in someone's house for a whole year. I charged the batter and inside the engine gets power but nothing inside the car. No cluster, no way to put in neutral. Door lights dont come on as well so suspect its not the EIS. IS there a master fuse/fuse box that could be causing this? TIA

You bought a car that was in a flood, then it sat(inside a house?), and corroded for a year? Tf? Hopefully it was dirt cheap, because I suspect you will be chasing this problem, and many other problems down the road for as long as you own it. These things are like computers on wheels, and water is not your friend. Best of luck, as I wouldn't even know where to start with this one.

Thank you for the insight. I’m a mechanic and obv know what gotten myself into. Currently testing fuses etc but sometimes collaboration can get you places thinking alone can’t.

My 2018 GLC43 was eaten up by mice. They wreaked havoc on the wiring inside the vehicle. Because there was no Mercedes dealership within several hundred miles, it got taken to a local import mechanic. He had it for over a month and $5,500 later, we got the car back.
The main wiring under the front seats were mainly affected as well as wiring under the rear cargo area. I'm giving you this story to let you know that these things are filled with important wiring that can be affected by flooding. Unless you replace ALL the modules that were under water, along with all the wiring and all the connectors, you're never going to get ahead of the myriad of problems. And this can take tens of thousands of dollars to replace. Be prepared to spend 10 to 20 thousand dollars to have fixed.

so far I haven’t seen any chewed wires so my problem will be the modules that got wet from doing my research

If I was you I’d start by gutting the inside of the car. Seats out , carpet, console and door rims. There is CAN BUS terminals under the carpet.
If it’s insured they will write it off.

How much water got into it. You would almost need to buy another accident damaged car and swap all the damaged panels onto it.
It’s like pulling a laptop out of a swimming pool leaving the battery in it connected for a week and expecting to get it to work. My 2014 ML has 58 modules I’d hate to think how many a 22 has.

it was a pretty bad flood , I was told the Bcm and Sam modules got wet and will need to be replaced and reprogrammed
