I've had both. 63 is way harder on tires because #1 its a heavier vehicle, #2 63 comes with stickier tires, #3 63 gets driven like its stolen daily. I no longer put sticky tires on my 63S. It gets 500 treadwear continentals that ACTUALLY LAST 2 summers. It's heavy enough that even 500 treadwear tires grip like crazy.
