lol, and since this has a wee little bit to do with coolant, I just came home from the service department and was told for the first time in almost 3 weeks now that the new thermostat is not even in the car yet, they are on flushes 7&8 today, he asked me if they could drive it over the weekend, no, then told me after they are done flushing it the 8th time they will install the new thermostat, which is why I went there. I was like ok so whats really going on why is a thermostat failure needing 8 flushes and still has not been installed. it was sand, there was sand in the coolant system which is probably what caused the thermostat failure and why the radiators had to be replaced, yes plural "s" apparently there's more than one. I told him he had never told me this he insisted he had in text so I said ok lets review texts, he reads them all aloud and I said so where exactly do you think you mentioned debris or sand in the coolant so he scrolls back and reads them all aloud again then blankly stares at me as if hes made his point....frustrating. apparently when the engine was made they use sand to knock loose any metal shavings and they did not get it all out at assembly. Aviator, I know this probably has nothing to do with why your 43 is losing coolant but maybe it does somehow in that there could have been debris in system which could lead to various issues and I would imagine coolant loss could be one.
