Hello all,
I just received the message to check coolant level and brought it to dealer and they said it was practically empty after checking the reservoir after turning off car. I don't think it's normal and I believe I have a leak somewhere but they are convinced it's normal .
I will keep an eye on it myself over the next month

Any thoughts ?
Not normal, I guess there are no obvious signs of fluid leak on the floor then is it a bad cap?
That doesn't sound normal to me either. My experience with MB Vehicles in general is that the level only has to go down a cup or so before a low coolant level warning is issued. Like you say just keep an eye on it.

So it's been losing since day one.... terribly disappointed in this car as I've had nothing but quirks
Ya they are all owned by a family or public dealership groups and each does business differently. MB used to have corporately owned dealership, not anymore.
2.5 weeks ago I had a check engine light come on so I called and scheduled for service, they got it the very next day. It was a bad thermostat. so for the last 2+ weeks its been at the dealership in service and supposedly will be done today. it never showed a low coolant until they had drained it and now my phone tells me hourly its low on coolant until yesterday when it finally stopped. They have had me in a regular glc and I do not care for it at all. will be glad to have mine back. this has been my only issue but the vehicle is only 9 months old so thats not great, also never heard of a thermostat going bad since I was in college thought it was like a bad starter and just didn't really happen anymore. theres a lot of testing and pictures being sent to MB and them telling the dealership what to do next, they replaced the radiators for example based on what MB told them. I hope they give me a list of everything done when I get it back. the car ran fine, had the light not come on I would have never noticed it at all. Service manager said it was not a complete thermostat failure but was not keeping the engine at a correct operating temp.

Did they at least give you a X254 GLC as the loaner though or the previous generation?
My 2024 GLC43 has 723 km (452 miles) on it. The level looks similar to yours in the picture you posted. The front and rear sections are about .75" below the seam connecting the top and bottom of the reservoir. The middle section is about even with the top of the round connectors.
If I look straight down with the cap removed the T section is about 5/8" below the level of the coolant. The coolant is cold (about 10C) as it has been sitting for a few days.
its a fairly basic 2025 glc, I do not like the overtly soft suspension and the dash is a high gloss mirror coupled with my latex allergies and I don't know if its the fake leather or the rubber floor mats but its a unpleasant experience.

I see, understood. My dealership for example still use previous gen so X253 loaners.
