Do any of you know if it's normal to see the 12v battery status on App as partially charged even after coming back from a 30 min drive ....when should we see it at a fully charged status ?
From my experience with a 2022 43, it takes more than 50 miles of highway driving to charge the battery to a decent level; 30 mi. is not enough. I also see the battery level to go really low after 2-4 weeks of sitting undriven in the garage, esp. in winter--all these alarm and remote radio functions slowly drain the battery to the point that once, after a 4 week period, the battery was dead.
Because I drive relatively little, maybe 500 miles/mo, I periodically check the battery voltage with a multimeter and recharge to full capacity every couple of months or so, always after a longer period of rest. Here is a typical voltage vs SOC (%) chart for an AGM lead-acid battery; I keep it pasted on the wall of my garage.
I actually received a check engine with code P0A8D - 14 volt power module system voltage low error but it disappeared after a few starts.
Thanks for the input. So it's a common to see it at partially charged most of the time since i don't drive a lot and especially in winter.
The best approach is take it to the dealer and check for the latest sw updates: there are some patches that will prevent battery drain when ignition is off…
