DX tool to retract EPB on '21 GLC63 Coupe
I'm doing a brake job on my '21 GLC63 (rotors/pads/fluid flush). Fronts were straight forward. I'm hung up on the rears because my current dx tool doesn't seem to want to retract the EPB. I have a Launch 741... I forget the version. It's functionality is painful at best and after wandering through, I finally found the parking brake...... but it wouldn't communicate with the car. After 8 tries, I through the towel in and almost threw the unit.
My question is what dx tool are you guys using? I just looked at I car soft and it seems like it may work. What have you guys had the best results with? Thanks!

I did my rear brakes without any scan tool.
See the link below, within the first 2 minutes of the video. It shows how to get into the service mode.
It should work on your 2021.

That looks like an older, non AMG car. I have tried and tried to find that mode on the dash.... to no avail. Chat GPT says that the AMG cars won't have the ability to do this on the dash. Still stuck.

I did it on my 2019 GLC63 AMG and it worked
Door closed - push the start button, without the brake paddle, once (no ignition on) - go to trip - push the phone pick-up button and OK button for a couple of seconds - select the brake pad replacement.

I did my own rear brakes just a while ago and that is how I rectracted the parking brakes without using a scan tool.

This steering wheel doesn't have an OK button. My wife primarily uses this car, so I'm not completely familiar with the steering wheel buttons. I can see the phone pick up, but there's no 'OK'. I tried phone pick up and the square black one and it did nothing. On a '21 GLC63........ where is the OK? Thanks.

With my McLaren, it's in the McLaren Diagnostic System (which I have), and it's easy.
OK. When the car gets home, it's back to the garage!
