Picked up my new 350 last month.

 

Ended up wrapping my 53 to emerald green metallic and the chrome trims to a mix of gloss and matte black.

yeah, there was at least a 7 month wait for a green one here in China. And I knew I’d definitely want it all blacked out later down the line.

 

Had it a few months but just got it back from the detailers!

 

I live about a mile away from Jordans workshop. He detailed a Range Rover for me last year, good job. Small world.

 

I’m about 2 miles away, surprised I haven’t seen yours out and about!

Actually on reflection iam a little further than that, I live in Stalybridge but will probably cross paths at some stage.

didn't like the color and the 5 spoke wheels(that's why i got iridium silver and the multi-spoke wheel) but your picture completely changed my mind! congrats on the gorgeous car!

 

Here goes my new 2020 GLE 400d 4matic in Brilliant blue with AMG exterior and interior kits and Premium Plus option package - photo taken just one day prior our dealer put on the licence plates and I took delivery of it yesterday.

Upgraded from 2015 GLE 350d 4matic - what a difference in everything - WOW - simply perfect and so much more space inside - I loved my 2015 GLE, but our grown up kids complained about not enough leg room on rear seats - especially when still remembering how great it was in our 2009 R class 350d long wheel base. I wanted to order new 2021 GLE from production but my dealer steered me to this 2020 stock vehicle with nice discount and 0% financing as well with the uncertain production schedules with all the COVID 19 pandemic havoc in all supply chains as well as some semi-autonomous functions must be discontinued for next MY under new EU legislation limiting it further. The only compromise I had to do it was to accept the third row seats I did not wanted - OK it is there now - the rest was as per my specs and the car was available in just ten days from customs bonded warehouse.

By a way - the new 400d engine - straight six in line diesel is technical marvel - unbelievable torque (700Nm) - only top of the line AMG 63 S+ beats it in this - and great acceleration (5.6 sec 0-100 km/h) with fuel consumption of just 10.5 L/100 km at 150 km/h and 2000 RPM - it is still fresh not fully broken in yet so it will get only better in next 1000 km or so.

Unbelievably quiet in the interior - hardly any engine noise - and what's left, Burmeister pure audio mode coverts the car into great concert hall on wheels. Thumbs up Mercedes!

Go the extra mile for 400d - you will not regret it - it is really great. I went for it in the same specs you look for - just in different color and it is worth every penny. Hybrid good only if you do not plan any serious towing or you have substantial tax benefits compared with 400d. Just my five cents I guess.....

By a way - 350 de is powered in fact by only 2L four cylinder diesel engine coupled with 48V QE hybrid electric drive system.
