GLE Weight?

Curious to know what the weight of the new GLE 350 and 450 are? Also does MB give weight distribution between front and real wheels? If so, what are they for these two vehicles? Thanks and appreciate replies.

Interestingly, MB hasn't yet released the 350 or 450 Curb Weights.

Mercedes Germany listed GLE450's curb weight as 2,220kg.
GLE350 is not listed as it is not sold in Germany.
And no weight distribution numbers.

A gaggle of MB's
Curb weight in US includes added weight for normal passenger load - so let's not get too crazed yet.

YES - 2020 GLE and 2020 GLS will be "weight eligible" for Section 179 Bonus Deduction

Here’s Mercedes description of the GLE weight....Curb weight by definition doesn’t include passengers or load. Are you sure that the GLE weight is overstated?
Weights
Curb Weight (lbs). 4,991
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (lbs) 6,614
Towing (lbs) 7,700 est.
Max. total payload (lbs). 1,623

That sounds about right. My '12 ML was 4,753. The '19 X5 is listed at 4,831 (50.1/49.9). The GLE is no lightweight like the Cayenne (4,377). And that is probably the lightest configuration; things like E-ABC, panorama roof, 21" wheels, etc. undoubtedly add weight.

I'm having an issue with the registration (it didn't go through when the dealership did it for some reason), so I'm filling out the form and it asks for gross vehicle weight. I'm wondering if that number is specific to the car, based on options (as you noted, panorama roof, etc., will affect it), or if I can just use the numbers listed on the MB website.

GVWR is on a plate on the drivers door jamb.

Thanks, I’m an idiot. That’s where I thought it was. I took a picture and when I looked at it, my eyes glazed over and I didn’t see it.

2,220 kg is a figure according to European Directive 92/21/EC (i.e. kerb weight with fuel tank 90% full, driver, 68 kg, and luggage, 7 kg) for standard-specification vehicles.

But I'm not sure one can rely on MB figures. My GLE 300d is supposed to have a weight of 2170 kg but automobile press reviews say its weight is about 2,400 kg (of course they weighed a nearly full option vehicle).

AS I'm sure you're aware, "gross vehicle weight" is different than "curb (kerb) weight" and is always higher. Figures per Daimler (kerb/gross, kg):

300d - 2,165 / 2,910
350d - 2,235 / 3,070
400d - 2,265 / 3,070
450 - 2,220 / 3,000

Yes, but 2,400 kg is the curb weight of my GLE provided by automobile press reviews (without the driver and his luggage!). Mercedes, like every other car makers, is "optimizing" their figures: curb weight and consumption are not those you would expect from their official brochures.

Yes, of course they weigh strippers for their base numbers. This will vary by country depending on standard equipment. E.g., the official curb weight of the 450 4MATIC is 4,895 lb. per Daimler, 5,015 lb. per MBUSA, whereas Car & Driver magazine quoted a figure of 5,151 lb. (loaded with $18,810 in options). Gross vehicle weight does not vary with options, I don't believe; it is a legal maximum load the car is designed for.

Despite Daimler saying GVWR for the 450 is 6,616 lb. (3,000 kilos), the label on my car shows 6,504.
