It’s an important feature for the Mrs and when we went to the dealership today, the salesman said it’s an add-on option.

However on the MBUSA website, it shows it as a standard option and not one that you can add.
It's standard.

It actually depends on the market. Wasn't standard here. It's part of the P49 package for us. Don't know where the OP is.

Congratulations. Shouldn't be more than 10 days or so, I would think.

When mine was released for shipping, it took about a week for it to arrive in Pennsylvania.

I live in North America and the GLE we saw at the dealership did not have the logo on the side mirrors. I wonder if it was turned off or something because there was some sort of camera/projector underneath the side view mirrors.

Okay, I stand corrected. Per the MBUSA DOG it is a standard feature:

I think you are right that it is a standard feature. The one we saw at the dealership must have had it turned off.

Could this be a small light at the end of the tunnel or merely a train coming the other way?

I had my order placed May 4th, and given a build date of September 1st about 4 weeks ago. I checked yesterday, still September 1st.

I am compelled to share that I had a rather pleasant customer experience buying our GLE350.

Ordered March 30 with 2D May production date. We received the car June 29. No VPC delays for us. Dealer salesperson provided all updates along the way.

It’s my wife’s car and she loves it.

That seems to be the million dollar question. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to who gets what and when. I ordered my GLE450 at the beginning of April and was given a July / August delivery date which soon drifted out to October eta which in turn somehow changed to January with no guarantee that this will be a final date shift and no reason nor apology from anyone. It will be my first Mercedes and I will probably sit it out to the end but it really is not good enough service.

That’s ridiculous. Are you able to get a refund for your deposit because of the delays on their part?

I ordered 350 in March, delayed for “parts”, reordered first week of May and have been given a production date of 8/11.

So if I were to order one now, I’d be lucky to get it by October?

Also based on my understanding, the 450s are reportedly taking lot longer than the 350s. I’d be ordering a 350 and not a 450.

My Sales Rep and Sales General Manager had no idea on delay issue and could never promise production date so hard to say if you ordered today when u would receive it. Very frustrating and with 192k views on this thread you would think it would get more attention from MBUSA.

The very frustrating part is the Dealer blames MBUSA and when you email MBUSA customer service they call the Dealer ask for status. Customer service also tells you that they can’t give you the Netstar status sheet but if your nice with the Sales Rep they will give it to you so you have some sense of next steps.....

Talked with dealer today. After letting two orders go because of bumped options, the 450s we ordered at end of April are still supposed to be built in August and delivered first week of Sept.
Hopefully nothing changes from that. I keep wondering what options are holding some orders and not others. He confirmed that the spoilers will still be installed by dealer, so that's not it.
If this doesn't work out, I guess we could order cars for Christmas......
Did any more dealer order guides come out with updated availability options? Anyone?

I just placed my second order on a 450 and got a production date of first decade of October. My dealer did have a build allocation for September. Realistically, though, it seems to be so haphazard as to who gets their vehicle when, I doubt my situation tells us anything.

No one can tell you when it will be delivered because neither dealers or MB CS know. You should budget at least 4 months.

Ridiculous is the right word but what can be done? I could indeed get a refund on my deposit but where does that leave me? I can't get my order quicker anywhere else so I am between a rock and a hard place.

Its Option code 587, Logo Projector Lamp (side mirrors) and comes standard.

In my case I was trading a 2018 vehicle. The fine print said that they could reevaluate the offer at the time of closing. I called and asked about that because I knew that with the delay my present vehicle was depreciating each month. They told me that unless the vehicle had some major issue since the offer was made, they would stand by the offer. They did. It only took about 4 months to finally get mine. If I had cancelled and gone somewhere else I would have received less on the trade.

After reading this thread about all the delays for GLE 450 and my own experience with dealer saying order could not be entered because of ____ (fill in the blank) I bought a 450 off the lot from another dealer last week. This one was built in 6/2019 VIN 75xxx. I don’t think it was in a storage yard.

Original dealer says October delivery on my build. Still no VIN.

I started this process in March.

Hope MB starts filling orders faster soon!
