Mine was also missing from build. However, is it my understanding that the charger doesn't work well with the iPhone 13 as the camera lenses protrude from the back of the phone. As a result, the phone doesn't lay flat on the pad. In addition, phone needs to be connected via USB-C port in order to use CarPlay. Therefore, it will be charging anyway.

I had the iPhone 13 when using this charger and there were no issues at all. Fitment was perfect. In regard to Apple CarPlay, I was using (still are) a wireless CarPlay adaptor so no need to plug it in to USB-C.
I have since sold that GLE and gotten a new one which does come with the wireless charger. I am now selling the aftermarket unit if anyone is interested (shoot me a PM).

Here it is uninstalled. Very thin stainless (or perhaps aluminum). Installs with attached peel & stick tape. Part is listed as 167-693-00-00 EDGE GUARD ~$195.
Does anyone know how to remove the sill after installation without damaging the paint? I installed it on my GLE and a week later realized that one side isn't sitting right and has more of a gap between the sill and the bumper than the other side. It's driving my OCD crazy. I'm thinking of removing it and then putting a new one on but I'm worried about damaging the paint underneath.
@graffixnyc , you could pour in some GooGone under the cover and give it a little time to loosen up the adhesive, get under it with some dental floss to cut away at the adhesive strip. Once you have it removed, you’ll need to spray/pour some more goo gone on the bumper and also on the removed sill cover. Peel away at it softly along the bumper (don’t scratch with nail or anything). Once everything is removed, clean thoroughly with soap and water.
When re-applying, put vhb tape on the sill cover (don’t need to use much), place it where you want and mark it with washable marker on both ends, remove the second side of the vhb, line up with the washable marker outline, press down and ur good to go.

Heat. Use a hairdryer or heat gun on a lower setting, and you might find that does the trick. Use Goo Gone to clean up the residue.

Thanks! It was so slightly off. Most people wouldn't even notice it, but I do and now that I do, I can't unsee it. I was going to attempt to remove it myself, but I'm really worried about messing it up. I went to a local body shop and they said they would charge me only $75-$100 to remove it and then re-apply it. I think I will let someone who has more experience with this stuff do it. I'm just so worried that the paint will get damaged. My anxiety level is through the roof. haha I'm dropping it off next week for them to do.
With no availability when ordered and currently still no stock due to chip shortage, my GLE came without the wireless charging function which, at $200, is a no brainer when building.
I was able to find an interesting alternative which looks not too invasive or out of place in the cupholder compartment. Price wasn't too bad in my opinion and reviews were good. Purchased through Amazon and shipped from China.
I ordered this from Amazon and it didn't fit my 2023 GLE63s. My cupholders are different from the ones shown in the photo above. I have one retractable piece of plastic on each side to keep the cup in place. I'm not sure why its different since the description says it will work with 2020-2023 models. That's clearly wrong.

I wonder if there are changes, or if we're just talking about the two styles of cup holders. Heated and cooled cup holders don't have that plastic flippy thing that allows bigger cups.

Maybe, I do have the heated/cooled cup holders so maybe they are a different design?
This is what my cupholder area looks like. It's different from the photos in the ad for the charger. I can confirm that it does not work with this layout.
If that is a picture of your setup, then yes, you have heated/cooled cupholders which will NOT work. Are you aware you have the wireless charger option in your vehicle?

I do have the wireless charging and it SUCKS ! Its super slow and my phone is always hot and stops the charging. I was hoping for a better solution but I guess I'm stuck with this crappy factory setup.

I wonder if the facelifted wireless chargers are any better. I noticed they have ventilation underneath the rubber. My 2020 does not have that.
Kind of pricey and it'll be coming from the other side of the world but this charger is shown with the heated and cooled cup holders:
Mine has ventilation but it's very weak, you can barely feel the air flow with the rubber mat removed and pretty much nothing with the rubber mat in place. The entire setup is useless !
I have a 2024 GLE and the wireless charger sucks. I have an iPhone 14 pro and I always have to keep moving it around before it starts to charge (I read this is an issue because of the camera bump). It heats up and get the message that my phone is too hot for wireless charging all the time and it will only be on the wireless charger for about an hour and a half. I do keep a 2nd phone in my car at all times. That's a Samsung Galaxy Flip 5. While I'm an iPhone user, I prefer Android Auto over Carplay so I use it just for Android Auto. Even the flip 5, if I put it on the wireless charger, I have to fidget with it a lot before it starts charging.I just keep my flip 5 plugged into the USB C port in the center console and just leave it in there.
On a side note.. I kinda love that I can have both carplay and android auto active at the same time. Only one can be displayed at a time, but I can still ask siri to call someone or something from my iPhone and the car detects it as long as android auto doesn't have the focus on the display. I usually keep android auto in the background playing music and giving me waze alerts and have mbux display on/active and use the iPhone for calls and texts by asking either siri or Mercedes. It's like the best of both worlds. Haha

I am currently in a 2024 C-Class loaner and the wireless charger is no better than previous years. It gets hot and barely charges my phone, especially now that Apple CarPlay is wireless.
They all are slow and heat up your phone including the aftermarket ones. This one you purchased is no different.
Good to know .... Guess I'll just stick to my plan B which is a high powered USB charger in the cigarette lighter socket for the times when I need a fast charge and tolerate the crappy wireless one when my phone just needs a top up.
