Oh, and does anyone have good pictures of the roof spoiler? I did order it but not really sure how it impacts the overall appearance (online configurator pics aren't great).

Here it is uninstalled. Very thin stainless (or perhaps aluminum). Installs with attached peel & stick tape. Part is listed as 167-693-00-00 EDGE GUARD ~$195.

Ordered these from Parts and they came in quickly. Every generation seems to change the clamping mechanism, and these appear that they might be the best yet with simple turn wheels. Installation instructions are in 31 languages!
I am replacing the Cargo tray that the dealer installed free of charge. They also provided all weather mats for front and rear that are nice. These must be from the prior Gen, at least I couldn’t find any. Listed. The Cargo tray has tall sides, doesn’t taper to fit behind the seats and is hard plastic so it’s slick. Weather Tech says they have mats in design, expect production in a few weeks.
For you that trailer and need a 4 or 5 pin converter. This one has a resistor for trailers with LED lights and will lock in place with the cover flap. Our Audi keep shutting down power to the trailer until I figured out that I had LED’s and they didn’t draw enough power for the system to know there was a trailer. Mercedes may handle it differently but for a few $’s more bought this one again.
I’m not thrilled by the direction MB has the plug pointed almost straight down.
Speaking of trailer, this is the M-B drawbar for the receiver hitch, which came standard with my '12 ML (ball not included). The GLE does not come with one. Fits nicely, wrapped in a cloth, in the spare wheel.

It gives the vehicle a sportier look. Also with the staggered (315 on the rear) wheels it have an aggressive look from behind
Anyone interested in trying a new car wax might consider this one from Meguiar’s-NXT Tech Wax 2.0. It was perfect weather this AM so I washed the GLE and waxed it with this wax that I purchased on Amazon late last year. I’ve always liked the look of a good paste wax and last tried a Synthetic one that lasted well but didn’t have that deep gloss. The Tech Wax 2.0 lived up to the “easy to use” part and produced a great shine. A bottle will last a long time, I didn’t use much.
Forgot to mention the wheels. I used a drill brush on the wheels and it worked very well. Mercedes has designed my 20” AMG Wheels (maybe others) with a raised area along the outer wheel that helps keep brake dust off of the part that shows. Then the gray base color also hides the dust. Impressed because I hate dirty looking wheels.

One thing I don't like about the factory racks is there is no good anchor points for tiedown straps, except to the roof rails. I came up with this modification, adding stainless steel eye straps (from a marine supply) fastened with #14 pan head sheet metal screws. This will give convenient places to anchor roof loads like lumber, etc.
They make loops that that can wrap around the bar to create a tie down point. What do you think about those?

Are the rear wheels wider than the front with 21 inches wheels? For example, the cayenne offers wider tyres on the rear
what are people using for cellphone mount in the 2020 GLE?
there is no CD player so we can no longer use the CD slot mount
and the AC vents are smaller so i don't think that will work either
i suggested a cup holder mount with a stalk or pop up but my wife doesn't want to do that...
which leaves a windshield suction mount?
is there a good solution that mounts to the top of the dash?
i might just order a cup holder mount and see if it can win over the wife (the GLE is the wife's car)

I don't need one so use the wireless charging area for one or both phones and stream music BT.
If I run Android Auto U plug my phone in the center storage compartment and close the lid with the phone inside.

yup I had the ball turned the other way and it was perfect to pull the boat
Been thinking about adding some accessories and the spoiler really looks good. I'm going to check out https://www.mbpartsprime.com/ to see if I can find them OEM spoiler on there.

My roof spoiler was deleted by the factory, with no plans to rectify. If you find one, please post part number. I'm looking myself and if I find it, will post as well.

Why don’ You just order through the dealer. May take a while but you will get it eventually.
