Btw, that pretty short time between the US departure and the delivery at the dealership, indeed a dealer told me that all vehicules should go first to Germany.

I placed my order in mid Feb. The car will go to Germany first then go to UK.

Mine is due in Germany on June 6th and at UK dealers on 13th June - fingers crossed - ordered 19th March.

I have finally had the chance to test drive the GLE. There is one thing I would like to mention: if you have this opportunity, do order the nappa leather. The GLE I drove today only had the "basic" leather and I can tell that in comparison with the GLE I saw last month (without being able to test drive it) which had the nappa leather, it's incomparable. The nappa leather is softer, more comfortable, the touch is much better. Seats are also slightly different and you have a better side maintain.

I made builds throughout nearly all European MB websites and I can tell you that the GLE prices vary from one to two!!! Of course taking into account local taxes which may be very expensive like in Ireland or in Nordics countries. And its also less complicated to make a build: generally some options are not compatible with others or you have to chose between two options,... In the UK, you just have to add 3 or 4 packs and your GLE is full options!

Exact, and you also get less choice of options (wheels, acoustic pack, night pack, ventilated seats, heated 2nd-row seats,...are missing) but, in exchange, you get the lowest price for a GLE in Europe and probably in the world! And with the basic price the GLE has a very high level of equipment.

I don't think you'll get it. I checked with the dealer and she told me that the code for the side windows in the UK is 840 whereas the code for the acoustic glass is 596. But, the acoustic package comprises not only acoustic glass but other insulation noise measures and maybe we'll get those in the UK but this is not sure at all.
