They came back and "verified" 7700 lbs. I have it in writing from them.
I hope they are right because my RV weighs 6,000 gross. Otherwise I would have gone 580 - at that time (Oct) the 580 showed 7,700, and E-ABC available also.
I can't wait another order cycle - I have been without since Sep 9.

From MBUSA:
"Thanks for reaching out to MBUSA.

The towing capacity for the GLE53 AMG is also 7700. Was not able to find the information on the towing at 3858 with the link provided, although do see it as part of the information in your attachment. We can advise under specifications it will show towing capacity 7700:

https://www.mborderguides.com/en_us/...specifications

and also if you select trailer hitch Class III does describe the following:

Optional

Trailer hitch (Class III)

With the optional trailer hitch, you can tow up to 7,700 lbs. The hitch option includes the wiring harnesses for the trailer lights and brakes, while every GLE is already equipped to handle the rigors of towing on the engine, cooling system and transmission. Standard Trailer Stability Assist helps keep trailer sway under control.

We have forwarded your information to our Product Management team to address this. Appreciate your time and bringing this to our attention.

All the best, stay safe.

Kind Regards,

Debbie A.

Thanks for verifying from another source. Do you have any idea how to log into that website?

I can't make that work, and it doesn't look like it will take me to the site you posted above, which looks useful.
It was Daimler AG

Sorry, I misunderstood you question. No, I cannot access that link either, even though I have access to the Daimler Global Media site.

Do I have this right and how does this group feel about a $75K car that could be stuck by the side of the road by something as trivial as a flat tire??
I had the same issue, used the tire inflation kit witch ruined my tires because of padding inserts that made the tire quieter ,dealer replaced the tire free of charge ! I asked what if it happens again, they said they’d foot the bill. Last week I traded up for 53 absolutely in love

Hi @AceA can you tell more about how the inflation kit ruined your tire(s)? What are padding inserts?
Did you have a collapsible spare, or no spare and some liquid to inject into the flat tire and seal from inside?
Thanks.

2020 GLE350 with 3rd row - Run Flats - No spare - No Compressor - No Wheel Lug Key

I have the 2020 GLE350 with 3rd row seating. It came with 19" run-flats and no spare tire.
The owners manual says that vehicles equipped with the 3rd row seating should come with a compressor and tire sealant. Mine didn't.
Also, did your GLE's included the wheel lug key to remove the lugs (Mine didn't)?

I am concerned that maybe the dealership forgot to hand out those items to me.

Did yours included the compressor, tire sealant and wheel lug key?

If you have the run-flat, they don't come with the TIREFIT kit (sealant bottle and mini compressor). Only if you have third row + 21" non-fun-flats, then it comes with the TIREFIT kit. You can also look into your build sheet, see if there's the option for B51 TIREFIT:

If I remember correctly there should be a mini pouch where the lug wrench is, I recalled going through the trunk storage area and saw the flowery looking lug wrench. Might be able to double check later today.

Do you have the 3rd row seat? I believe that there is no space left for a spare with the 3rd row seat. :|

You probably don't have the 3rd row seats. You only get the Tirefit if you have 3rd row seats without the spare.

I actually didn't take delivery when I found out that the tires weren't "extended mobility" (known as runflats) and there was no spare. The issue is the 3rd row doesn't allow space for a spare. IMHO, it's either runflats or a spare but not a can of air.

Since I have a spare, I wish I didn't have the run flats. They certainly don't do anything to make the car ride better...I feel they provide a harsh ride.

Mine came with spare, jack and lug wrench. There is no key for lug nuts. Don't need one. Standard lug wrench fits. Also no flat fix and compressor with mine

I just checked again, and no it didn't come with the flower lug wrench. I only have the TIREFIT (compressor + sealant bottle) and a tow hook. Looks like if you don't have a spare tire, there's no reason to have a jack and a lug wrench:

Crap I may want to find one now. Anyone have a part number handy?

Try Modern Spare. https://modernspare.com/
They are highly regarded on the GLC forum (I'm planning to get a set, now that their supply chain is back on line).
They don't have a package for the V167, but they say "Your car not listed? Contact us here"ahttps://modernspare.com/contact-us/
Dedicated and knowledgeable staff.
