Poor windshield visibility in rain
Raindrops do not bead on the surface area that is covered by the wipers, which greatly diminishes/compromises visibility in even light rain.
Anyone else have have this problem with their GLE?
We’re still using factory wiper fluid and wipers.

Change out your wiper fluid with Rainx or if you don't like the product I recommend you get your self some Turtle Wax ICE (spray wax) really works well on everything since its SiO2 based product. Water beads everywhere! Works great! I use this on all my cars.

but if it beads do not then wipers smear making visibiity worse when they are on?
I find just keep windshield clean and blades fresh and all is good during rain....

No, not at all.It makes the wipers job that much easier. You want your windshield to be hydrophobic as possible, so when the water does bead the water flies right off, especially if you are driving at highway speeds. You Almost don't need your wipers on (at least low speed). You want water to bead vs sheeting on your windshield in my opinion. A few good youtubes video out there..

That stuff corrodes internals.
You will find that many car manufacturers specifically say do not use it.

I find when you use Rain X type stuff to make the water bead and blow off ... wipers SMEAR when used...
but your results may vary....
Aquapel was great stuff and a bit different as water sheeted more.... and not beaded but Cannot find it anymore...
STP made similar product back in 90s.
