That date changed to 12/23/19 around Thanksgiving and then another date change 1/6/20 shortly thereafter. Then a week later the completion date changed back to 12/23/19. As of today according to my Sales Associate it still says 12/23/19 for completion date but they cannot tell me when it will be delivered. I got a VIN in early December. I am slightly frustrated bc I turned my Range Rover in at the beginning of December and was told by my Sales Associate the timing would be perfect. Now I am a month in with no car and no indication as to when my Gle will be delivered. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
What is your current production status code? Dealer should give you a loaner for the gap.

As of today my sales associate hasn’t given me a code. She has only said it says “ completion date of 12/23”. She said today her and her sales manager were confused as to why there hasn’t been an update. I am in Nashville so only a few hours from the factory.

Make them give you the status code, readily available on their NetStar system.

That’s like me asking my dealer for a loaner to cover the gap. They would laugh at me.
Fortunately you have a great dealer.
But hey, they did get rid of a Range Rover and into a MB.

You should, unless there are parts issues again. I'm sure the holidays had some impact.

Looks beautiful! Congratulations, worth the wait! What are your overall thoughts, specifically regarding the engine and power?

Would also love to hear your thoughts on the ride. I wonder if the extra weight of the engine affects the ride(?).

And??? What did you think? Enquiring minds want to know. Specifically those of us waiting on ours, with no delivery date known yet, and don’t have any near us to go test drive. Although I am heading to Atlanta this weekend and I’m going to try to find one before I go.

I came from a full size Rover Supercharged. I would compare the ride to it. It is definitely heavier than the 350 I originally test drove when I ordered it. Thus far I’m completely in love with it!
As far as the power I’m impressed. It’s quick and the electric part definitely helps with turbo lag. Also, the auto stop/start transition is the smoothest I have ever felt.

I liked it but was also a little disappointed. As context a few weeks ago I drove the BMW X5 M50i and the quick acceleration reminded me of my previous M and AMG cars. That said I prefer the GLE chassis which is why I am leaning towards the GLE580.

The 580 has much better power power delivery than the 450. The overall impression is that it feels super smooth and effortless. But it doesn’t press you back in your seat like the X5 does. Handling also felt a little soft even in sport mode. May be worth getting E-ABC with this car.

I didn’t like the ride on the 22” wheels. They transmit more road imperfections than the 21s.

One oddity - the isofix anchors have a removable plastic cover like on the W213 vs. being hidden under the flap on the 350 and 450 models. I thought that was unusual.

OVERALL though I like the car. Probably the best car in the segment if you want something more luxury oriented which is what I was looking for. I wish it had maybe a bit more power to match the X5 M50i.

if you want a test drive go to Atlanta Classic Cars in Duluth. They have two of them.

Gorgeous truck! I love those rims w/ the black paint. I can't believe a v8 GLE is asking for 90-100k these days! Back in the day, an ML550 was 75k. Is it worth it?
