Hello all, I ordered my Gle 580 9/24/19. My dealership had two allocations at the time. At the time of order I had a completion date 11/24/19. That date changed to 12/23/19 around Thanksgiving and then another date change 1/6/20 shortly thereafter. Then a week later the completion date changed back to 12/23/19. As of today according to my Sales Associate it still says 12/23/19 for completion date but they cannot tell me when it will be delivered. I got a VIN in early December. I am slightly frustrated bc I turned my Range Rover in at the beginning of December and was told by my Sales Associate the timing would be perfect. Now I am a month in with no car and no indication as to when my Gle will be delivered. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

As of today my sales associate hasn’t given me a code. She has only said it says “ completion date of 12/23”. She said today her and her sales manager were confused as to why there hasn’t been an update. I am in Nashville so only a few hours from the factory.

And??? What did you think? Enquiring minds want to know. Specifically those of us waiting on ours, with no delivery date known yet, and don’t have any near us to go test drive. Although I am heading to Atlanta this weekend and I’m going to try to find one before I go.

As far as the power I’m impressed. It’s quick and the electric part definitely helps with turbo lag. Also, the auto stop/start transition is the smoothest I have ever felt.

The 580 has much better power power delivery than the 450. The overall impression is that it feels super smooth and effortless. But it doesn’t press you back in your seat like the X5 does. Handling also felt a little soft even in sport mode. May be worth getting E-ABC with this car.
I didn’t like the ride on the 22” wheels. They transmit more road imperfections than the 21s.
One oddity - the isofix anchors have a removable plastic cover like on the W213 vs. being hidden under the flap on the 350 and 450 models. I thought that was unusual.
OVERALL though I like the car. Probably the best car in the segment if you want something more luxury oriented which is what I was looking for. I wish it had maybe a bit more power to match the X5 M50i.
