Quote: Most Dealers have an SA or other person familiar with Tech features, you might ask yours. My SA plugged his phone into my car and it displayed full screen in Car Play. This was 6-8 weeks ago! But Android Auto isn’t FS even though the phone supports it.
Just to clarify this is in the GLE with MBUX?

I saw someone posting about this on another forum and showed a full screen Carplay... but it was in an E class.

I guess there's hope then for MBUX and full screen Carplay!

No offense to Ron, but outside of his experience no one else has confirmed full screen carplay is possible (at least natively).

None taken! We are here to help each other so I have emailed him to try and get a confirmation and more info. I might get by there later in the week and will take a pic if I do. There’s always a chance that it was in between full screen and the small patch in the center with A. Auto. He didn’t say anything when I commented about it being full screen but we were testing the center touchpad that quit working with AA...worked with Car Play.

Just came across a small “update” on the Mercedes me connect portal. The Software Update page on the web portal has updated. Looks much better and most importantly it claims Mercedes promises software update. I haven’t seen a single OTA update in the US other than Maps for the past 8 months, while users “worldwide” are seeing FUP1/2 OTA updates. But still it’s interesting to see how Mercedes is going to commit to this message.

Just realised my MBUX no longer has the version available after it went back to the dealership for a recall recently. Like it be they downgraded me and that’s also why I lost the ability to even open video files and play in a small window?

Searched the MB Canada ME app for this update. It appears Canada has been omitted or scheduled for later update as no similar page appears on the Canadian app.

If you're referring to what cnnn posted, it's not in the app, it's on the Mercedes Me website. It offers some functionality not available in the app.

I have a similar screen in the Australian Mercedes Me portal too for my GLE. Still have no updates and no FUP.

No over air updates in UK, dealer has told me they will only do updates if I have a fault as otherwise they don't get paid for them.

yeh just took mine in today and they said there was a recall software update, and was excited. But got my car back and it’s now missing the option for map in centre cluster and no software version tab anymore. I lost features.
This is in Australia.

sigh

It appears that FUP3 may now be released, at least on the A and B class cars with MBUX. Version appears as NTG6/080

Has anyone got it yet on a GLE ?

If you are referring to the Aclassclub post you can see there that only like 2 people got it. It will be a while I am sure 😁

My dealership just did a software "update" a few weeks ago, and it's only now dawning on me that I've lost functionality.

- Navigation in cluster is gone
- Navigation prompts in HUD is gone

In their place I seem to now have g-force, angle of approach info etc - nothing I'll ever use.

Anyone got any ideas what they've done?

Thanks,
Shane.

Are you in the US? What’s the version number of your software now?

I think you just need to change the settings, Have you tried that?

Yes. There is no option anywhere in the cluster settings or menus to enable navigation. The menu option in the cluster controls for navigation is completely gone.

I’ve even factory reset the MBUX system and it’s still missing. These options and settings were there before the update at the dealer.

I’m also not the only one - as I found there’s another Australian owner (dylanando) a few posts before mine that reported the same thing.
