Aftermarket chip for GLE350

Did a search but couldn't find anything, maybe it's covered in other MB models with similar setup but my search came up empty.

There are companies like Renntech and OE Tuning that tune the turbo engines on MB, but so far I only see them on higher end engine setup. Does anyone have any chip for the GLE350? I looked on E300 (pretty much the same engine) and also see nothing.

Is there particular reason that this engine can't be tuned, or there is no market? With so many more GLE350 on the road, I would expect there are some owners who are willing to pay for more power (or other hacks).

I think it's only a matter of these tuners catching up. Should be only a matter of time until they're released.

TT I4 was introduced more than 6 years ago in the US (first in CLA250, then GLC300 & E300), so if there is no tune by now, it probably is not coming.

Those willing to pay a relatively small premium (9% or so) for much more power (extra 42% HP and 35% Torque) opt for TT V6 in GLE450 from the start.

Edit: Actually there are a number of tunes for TT I4: from ECU tuning - like OE Tuning as posted below to "chipping" - like RaceChip. Just search other boards with TT I4 engine cars. Seems there a several to suit various budgets.

Lack of demand, I believe. Tunes are usually reserved for performance models because those are the owners that care about such things.

Then I would not even think of any CPU tuning not necessarily because of tune related problems, but because of MB denying warranty once tuning is discovered and flagged by a dealer (many, many posts regarding this). Chipping like Racechip or similar might be an option (search GLC/E/C 300s boards for others, if any, installing chips in TT I4), but keep in mind that MB increased power across the board for '20 MY TT I4 from 241hp to 255hp which may impact compatibility.

Edit: I came across manufacturer's installation video of the Racechip on W167 GLE350 (this is by no means an endorsement of the product):
. Looks more difficult than on TT V6 engined cars due to location of the connector at the back of the engine.

A gaggle of MB's
I love this comment - "the many threads reporting problems with warranty".... now that's funny !

1. What are you looking to accomplish ? With a Tune + Downpipes + anything else you throw will achieve two things - (1) modify the Torque/Power Curve (3) with "everything" "maybe" increase your Hp 10%-15%
Is it really worth it ?

2. Warranty - we have maybe 3-4 posters (including 1 from Canada) who report ""warranty" issues with MB after doing a tune - and any potential future dust up between you and Mercedes on your "tuned" Mercedes in large part depends on your relationship with your servicing dealer.
