Is this correct? New 580 vs old 63s

Am I reading and researching correctly that the new GLE 580 will out run the older GLE 63 s?
The new GLE 580 supposedly has a 0-60 time of 4 (Benz insider) while the outgoing GLE 63 s has a time of 4.1 (MBUSA.com). I find that hard to believe that the GLE 580 is that fast but with the added HP and torque in the new GLE 63s it seems that it will only add a few tenths of a second off the time of 3.7-3.8 (road and track), so the 580 could be pretty fast.
Who do you believe and what is correct? Looking at the numbers below I find the 580 to be off a little at 4.9 (450 too) although it is a heavy car.
I see the 580 realistically at about 4.2-4.3. Thoughts?

I can tell you from my test drive that the GLE580 does not feel like a fast accelerating car. The X5 M50i feels much faster. The 4.9 seconds felt about right to me. I could see 4.5 but it did not feel like anywhere near 4s or lower.

I test drove a 580 last week and felt it was very strong for a heavy SUV. It wasn’t adrenaline rushing fast but quick enough but then I am used to an Audi A8L 4.0T that covers 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The 580 certainly felt like it has oodles of torque.

I haven't found any instrumented tests of it yet. Mercedes spec is 4.9 sec. Car & Driver tested the 450 at 5.3, which is 0.2 better than factory spec. I would think the 580 won't test with a better advantage than that, so say 4.7 - 4.9. No way it's getting close to 4.0. Some magazines run their acceleration test with a 1-foot roll out, which results in a slightly better time than you will achieve from a standing stop.

Weird, 450 in UK is given as 5.7 0-60 not 5.5

It's o-100 km per hour which is 62 mph, it doesn't take .2 of a second to do 2 mph

Yeah after reading more I think 4.5-4.7 is more realistic. Either way, that’s pretty good for that big of a car. I’m not wanting a race car anyway, the wife has that. I just want luxury and smoothness.

One would think, but others show that difference of .2 seconds also. My Audi is 5.3 Kilometers & 5.1 US factory Spec.

NO GREG, but there is NO way that it takes .2 of a second to get from 60 to 62 mph, think about it. If you take the average of the time it takes to do 2 mph at a 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds it is .183 of a second and that includes acceleration from 0. One of the figures quoted is wrong.

All I can say is 5.5 & 5.7 are both current factory figures, so take it up with Daimler. Actually, if you read 6 car magazines like I do and pay attention to the data there are a few cases like that, however it usually involves a transmission shift right near 60.
