Mercedes money factors

The Fed has lowered interest rates it charges banks to almost zero % interest.

I have a new GLE 350 that is at the dealership and cannot be delivered because of a new recall on Hazard Lights not functioning on some cars.
Unsure as of now when MBUSA will release the hold. As of now I am ok with the hold.

So now I am thinking whether the money factor that my lease is based on should be adjusted downward to reflect the new cost of funds.

What are your thoughts.

AFAIK Mercedes adjusts the money factor monthly at the start of the month. I'm not even sure it will change, but it's certainly not going near 0. The MF reflects the long term projected cost of money, factoring in risk, profit, and vehicle demand.

My thoughts are Mercedes wants all your money.

I suspect MB and all auto companies are facing a huge challenge to manage their pipeline and profitability during these serious times. If I did not need to replace a car, I would be staying on the sideline. We all are more concerned to do everything we can to "flatten the curve". Mercedes may want my money but they might not get it.

A gaggle of MB's
Well the truth of it all - rather than the bluster - is that Fed Prime Rate to Banks is not connected to Bank Prime Auto Rates to Consumers.

You have been given straight talk about how/when MBFS updates Finance and Lease Rates - and since your rig is on a Do-Not-Sell - most likely updated April rates will apply since most likely this will clear up for you next month.
