Tips on spec. 350de

Hi guys!

In November my E- and GLC is 3 years and I'm looking to trade the E-class into a GLE and the GLC to a EQC.
The taxation of hybrid/eletrical vehicles is advantageous so I'll probably get the 350de (2 litre diesel with a 31kw battery)

My wife drives the GLC and I use the E-class, so I'll try to spec the GLE the same way.
I fell in love with Airmatic on my first testride of the W213. Is it necessary on the GLE? The dealership says its much less noticeable in the larger vehicle, that there is no airmatic?
In the E-class I ride on 20" runflats but its still a great drive (No acoustic option). I want to go 22" on the GLE, but dont plan on get the acoustic option.

Long story short:
- Airmatic a must? Can I lower the vehicle as I can in the E? (For looks only)
- Acoustic package/option? Never tried a MB with it.
- Satisfied with the Burmester? Not very impressed by the demo vehicle I tried.
- I never use the HUD in the E. Improved in the GLE?
- Any other "MUST haves"? Packages differ from country to country.. Got most stuff except massage, acoustic option, screen in the backseat, etc.

Appreciate the help.

GLE 350 de
Hi and hallo from Nord Norge!

Yes, if you are to buy the GLE you must have airmatic. Not just for comfort, but also for your chance to get decent money back when you sell it. I don't think you manually can lower the car, and one the 350 de you can't choose the E-ABC either. The Burmeister - I agree with the quality, but ist not that costy as its in a package. The HUD is amazing, the best on the marked IMO. Well worth the money. You don't mention it, but a car with the AMG package in the Norwegian marked is "odd". I didn't either pick the acoustic option so I can't help you.

Lars

Thank you for the reply Lars, and greetings from western Norway 8-)

I will def go with the airmatic then. I love how I can lower the E for that lowered look however.
Will look into getting the HUD. Got it in the E, but catch myself using the regular speedometer instead. Will check if demo-vehicle has it, or one will arrive shortly.
For me, the AMG package is a must because of the styling. Its so common these days, that no-one think you're trying to show off as a proper AMG.

Thanks
