2020 GLE 580 impressions request

Hi, I'm planning to get a 2020 GLE 580 ( off the lot, not going to order).
I can find very few reviews of that trim level, so I was hoping current owners can share they impressions and thoughts.
Interested in whether there is any turbo lag, initial quality and driving impressions.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex

We have had our 350 for about six weeks, about 1300 miles, and haven’t had a single fault. This is our fourth Mercedes over the years, and it is performing exactly as expected.

A gaggle of MB's
If you want to get a good cross-section of opinion - do a YouTube search for GLS580 Review (or Road Test) - there are about 3-4 hrs of multiple reviews.

Oh - quick thing - "turbo lag" - man you need some catch up - the GLS580 is frigging awesomely smooth..

There’s been a few reviews of the engine here already. It’s pretty much a work of art. Test drive one if you can find one.

Thanks for your input. I tried looking for specific reviews on 580, but could not find any good ones. Maybe I missed something.
Good to know that everyone so far like the car!

I have searched multiple times but like you, found very little worth watching. I did test drive one and was suitably impressed although a couple of things I noted was the ride was somewhat “floaty” with the air suspension and the steering was a bit,”twitchy” as if it was over boosted. I think the E-Active suspension and some adjustments to the drive mode would have made a difference. Interestingly, that was over 2 months ago and the dealer still has the vehicle! Definitely more luxury than sport but the engine is nice and gobs of power and torque.

We have had our GLE 580 for about 6 weeks and it has been great so far. The engine has a distinctly more powerful sound compared to the 350 or 450's. Ours has almost every option except the E-Active Suspension. It definitely burns through the gas faster than the 350 or 450, but I think it is worth it given the extra horsepower and torque. I highly recommend the 580!

Thanks @glorentz . Good to know that you didn't have any problems. Just out of curiosity, what are your MPGs in the city and on the freeway?

We have been getting about 15 MGP with short drives. Unfortunately given all the shelter-in-place, we have not really taken it on the freeway much so I am not sure how much improvement there will be on longer trips.
