Window reverse control problem?

anybody experienced this and know how to fix it?

when i press up on the control to roll up the window (happend to me both on driver side and passenger side, not yet on the rear windows), it actually reverses and rolls down and it won't stop until it goes all the way down... i usually have to wait a 5-10 seconds before trying to roll it back up in the right direction...

happens occassionally to me hence why i'm asking if anybody experiences this as well

Had this issue with our Audi. Numerous other did also. They tried a software update that didn’t work. Needed a new switch....maybe the same Supplier for MB.

low voltage calls higher currents (Pw = Uv x Ia)

Did you notice how the car windows run slower?? Double check your alternator/battery for voltage!

Then consider replacing old "BRUSH SET" or get a renewed alternator.

The windows motion is safety controlled for high current. When the voltage is too low, the current get higher and the module thinks it needs to safely reverse.

To fix that... fix the power source: alternator!

This sounds like a “pinch protection” issue - ie. the motor moving the window feels an obstruction, so moves to lower it all the way down. I’m not sure if a sensor needs replacement or how it would be fixed.

Exactly...that’s what they finally figured out on our Audi. They replaced the window trim pieces and it cured the problem. When the window was all the way down it would power through the tight spot but rolled half way down it would reverse down most of the time after hitting the up.
