I don't use the feature much but I do use it at times. If it wasn't there, it would not be a deal breaker. I was on a 900 mile round trip to Canada two weeks ago and used the seat kinetics but not the massage feature. There are times after playing golf 4 times in a week, that I turn the massage feature on for the ride home!!! I have a golf buddy with a bad back, and when he rides with me, he often asks me to turn the feature on for him.

Yes, they can both be operated simultaneously. Both can be activated with voice control.
It's kind of a strange sensation, and I found it a bit disorienting at first. Choosing your favorite massage pattern helps.

Thanks for the info! I'm trying to decide if I should add the message feature as I have a bad back and want your opinion on if it's worth it? Does it give good massages? Your opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My seat kinetics turns off automatically. Not sure how long it runs, but it has timed out for me every time I've used it.

That is interesting. The trip we take to Canada is roughly 375 miles one way. We make 4 stops along the way for various things. Total time, including stops and border crossing is 7.5 hours. I've only had to restart it after a stop. I'm guessing the longest leg between stops would have been about 1.5-2 hours. I'll be heading to Florida soon. If we take the GLE I'll have to pay closer attention to the run time.

We logged 1,300 highway miles over the holiday. I used kinetics quite a bit, and it shut off on its own every time. I still can't say exactly how long it runs before timing out, and in fact it seems the timeout threshold varies. I am now wondering if it would have run for longer intervals had I used the native navigation rather than Waze. Regardless, I do find it useful, and so far it's been one of the glitch-free systems in my GLE. (Assuming it's working as intended, that is.)

I was wrong about the seat kinetics not turning off. Just drove over 1100 miles to Florida and it did turn off. I am guessing that it ran for about 30-40 minutes. I never realized exactly when it went off because I was not looking for it, I just realized it wasn't there.

Yes, very good. I have significant back issues and using massage with heat is outstanding for my back thus I use both almost all of the time.

Thanks a lot for this as I two have back issues. I had back surgery in the past and still have issues. I've decided to include this feature in my build.

I also adjust the location of the heat in the seat to all back so my thighs/butt don't get hot.
