Got a new 2020 GLE350 about 3 months ago

About a week ago, it would not start, bunch of lights on the dash, would not turn over

MB sent out a service and they jumped the car

It ran for another week, and then just died again. We had it towed to MB this time

Already checked the Battery and the Alternator, all are fine

Any idea what is causing the battery drain

Tks

it’ll be cool for Mercedes to update their app and the cars software to alert the owners that the battery is at a certain low .. so MB owners can charge the batteries to top it off.. and also recommend what type of charger works best for MB cars

You should write that in an app review and send your feedback here:

The Mercedes me connect app does just that.

Although it did that for the recent software update, try uninstalling and reinstalling your app, if it hasn't been warning you of low battery.

Our 63 almost always says partially charged in the app except when it is actually running when i check it. The dealer service advsor told us not to worry about it but i do. No problems yet atleast.

I think I'd get another opinion.
Although it's the 48v battery that starts the car, leaving an AGM battery below 100% SOC will shorten its life.
I'm always surprised at how long it takes my CTEK 5A charger takes to bring a "partially charged" (according to the app) 12v battery back to full charge.

I need to check the actual voltage with a voltmeter to see how it related to the app warning.

It's possible that some of the final charge level is being drained off by the 12vDC->48vDC converter, which require=s a longer time to finnish the final stage, it still seems to need a lot of electrons.

Just to confirm this comment.....Bought new tires for my 2020 GLS Friday morning. That afternoon when I was about to pick up the vehicle I received an email from Mercedesme Connect saying my 12V battery charge was "critical". I noticed where they had turned my lights from auto to on, and I suspect they may have inadvertently put the vehicle in accessory mode, which drained the battery. Vehicle started with no issue and recorded "partially charged" by the time I was home. Have had no issues since.
