Did my of yours show up under inventory on the dealerships’s website? I’m praying mine doesn’t take “weeks” because it was already delayed well over 2 months.
A friend’s did that arrived a few weeks before mine, but the dealer received so many phone calls from others wanting it that they didn’t put mine on their website because they didn’t want to deal with a ton of calls about it.

Mine did the same day it was delivered to the dealer. I think that is automatic. It was listed but without all the details.
Depending upon the inventory management system the dealer uses, as soon as MB invoices the vehicle, it is a vehicle consigned to that dealer. Thus it is inventory. So with a number of the management packages, it will post. Dealer has no control over this. Of course one would hope that if a web buyer sees the vehicle and inquires of the dealer, they will be told the car is sold. And this is as it should be. What if you don't take the car? It is then in their inventory. And how can you tell your car has been invoiced and is actually on the way-- seeing it on the site. Then checking the Auto Packet links on the car, you can see the build sheet. That will have a date on it somewhere on the right side of the page. That's the date of invoice. It will be close to shipping date under normal circumstances because that's the date the clock starts ticking for dealer financing.
Thanks. I just got word that ETA is tomorrow so I am praying it actually comes tomorrow. It has not been invoiced yet to the dealership. However, the other one that. the dealership wanted me to buy instead of mine never showed up on their website until today and they got that unit 2 days ago. I'm hoping for the best.

I know that it's great for the ego to think they are "Special," and that it's a "game" instead of a "business," but why risk somebody at the Store from checking the inventory and just selling an unclaimed car?
Why not lock up the car with a legal transaction (AKA "deposit.")? Unless you really don't care about getting the car. And if you really don't care, why bother the dealership, and why Vent here?

When I ordered mine back in October and I did not have to put a deposit down in order to do the build however other dealerships wanted anywhere from 2-4K as a deposit. I mostly look to see if the car shows up on the dealer's website because it usually indicates it was invoiced to the dealership and/or that unit is on the way to the dealership.

My dealership is doing that with mine as well showing it as a sold unit and it has not showed up on their website.

I'd call that a "weak paper trail."
If I wanted a 580, I'd try to Bump you, with real cash. I've bought 5 M-B's from the same Dealer, and I'd put my money where my mouth was. Money talks, xxxx walks.
OTOH I don't know how you can be fully confident in your current debacle. My 450 debacle went back - my wife would never head cross-country with it. We tried - I liked/wanted the car, but had to agree with her. Good luck.
It looks like progress is being made! My GLE appeared on the dealer website this morning and I was told yesterday that it is supposed to arrive around noon! 🙌🏼

Mercedes unfortunately does force arbitration clauses which blows but it is what it is.
The delivery person was not at the dealership so I have to go back on Monday and have them show me some of the features and whatnot and get the front windows tinted. Otherwise I absolutely love my GLE and definitely worth the wait! I also think that part of the reason it came faster than I expected was because I complained to MB National.
I just got home so I’ll post more pics tomorrow in the sun to hopefully show off the gorgeous obsidian black metallic.

Looks really great, congrats. Please remind me when you first ordered it. I'm four months into my wait and looks like a six month wait for my gle 53 and seven month wait for my wife's.
Thanks everyone now that I have the one I built I am really happy I did not settle on the other ones the dealership wanted me to consider because no one had an ETA for it.
@Williemv I ordered the car back on October 1st and was told it would be no later than 3 months or December. I don't know when it was built but it was sitting at the factory built since November or December but they needed one part which I was told why it was delayed do long. Original delivery date was December 15th, but the actual date was yesterday, February 25th.
Thanks, I ordered two gle 53 coupes on Oct 17th. was suppose to be delivered mid Jan. 2021. Now scheduled for build Mar 9th for mine and Apr, 2nd decade for the wife's. Perhaps it's the 53 or the coupe version that delayed mine so much. Dealer did tell me he had the allocations at that time. How are you finding the quality of the vehicle as that is an issue of vehicles manufactured in Vance.
Just talked with my salesman and he said still on schedule for the second decade in March and expect delivery mid April. That would be nice. While waiting for the new 53AMG we changed second cars and bought a 2021 GMC Acadia Denali (traded the 2014 Acadia Denali) and it is quite a ride for $44K. Given the current choice to take out the 2018 43AMG or the new Denali, both of us pick the Denali over the "old" AMG. The latest technology in the new cars is just amazing even after only three years!! Yea, the Denali is not a MBz.
The paint had a lot of swirl marks and "holograms" because I have a feeling the dealership or factory ran it through a car wash that had brushes.
The right touchpad on the steering wheel doesn't pick up my finger sometimes. I tried adjusting the settings but it didn't fix it.
When I drove over a drawbridge, the metal part in the middle, the car started to wobble until I was back on pavement. Not sure if it was something with the bridge or the car.
I have to bring the car back to the dealership next week so they can tint the windows and go through the features and set up some things. Also did any of y'all who may have gotten yours already get any MB swag? Usually they give 2 keychains, a bag and maybe a hat too but this time I had to basically beg for 2 keychains for the keys. I'm hoping when I bring the car back for the windows and the other stuff they will give me some free-bees.
I haven't been able to take more pics yet but wow the Obsidian really stand out when the sun hits! It has more brown/gold color metallic chips/sparkles/undertones (I'm not an artist) and it makes the car look like a very dark gray-ish brown-ish color.
