Closing lift gate
Can the key fob close the lift gate once it has been opened? Every MB SUV I have had would do this. The key fob will open the lift gate no problem, it should also close the gate if you press the open button and hold it, should it?

What you have highlighted here specifically refers to options to "stop the closing process".

To open or close it is required to press and briefly HOLD the button on the fob.
