Mercedes me app
It doesn’t come up for me in the app store, I have the one below which looks like an older version.

There appears to be an Apple App for the iPhone, Mercedes me (USA) but it won’t work on my iPad.

Edit....I use Chrome on my computer to access Mercedes.

Not very optimistic things will get better anytime soon. The Mercedes Me 2020 app has two stars in the Apple Store. Seems like a fresh coat of paint on the same structurally falling apart house.

Unfortunately pretty much all the car manufacturers are struggling with their connected car platforms. Either they are sourcing this stuff out to incompetent teams or they just can't hire decent software teams in house. Either way, they need to get better at software development.

Unfortunately it seems that my phone is too old and is not compatible with the new app!

Audi seems to be headed that way more than most others. They switched the vehicle operating system to an Android based as I recall in about 2018. The new Q/SQ8 seem to more smart phone like with no buttons and all touch screen. Wireless Car Play but they still have USB Android Auto for some reason. It looked to me like you pretty much control most vehicle functions by touchscreen....not sure what you can control by voice.
Edit-the steering wheel controls, stalks and light switch remain.

hopefully this new version will reinstate the capability to open/close the windows and sunroof remotely.
Side note: pressing and holding the unlock button on the key fob works, only within a few meters of the car, defeating the purpose of getting an early start on airing out a hot car.

I've had a very good experience with MBUX, but many others haven't. If they can improve the experience via over-the-air updates, I think most consumers will be happy. I used to say about my Amazon Echo that it was the only piece of technology I had ever purchased that actually improved after purchase, and that made me very happy. Any product you purchase that gets better as time goes by will get high marks from the customer, as long as the initial experience doesn't drive them away first.
