Current Vance Status
Just a question out of lockdown boredom and momentary avoidance of several large projects I'm procrastinating ...
Does anyone know whether Vance is up and running and how is the supply chain holding up?

I don't have a direct answer for you but I have a 2020 GLE580 that has been on order since October 29th and there has been some recent activity on Netstar indicating that my build date has fluctuated between July 29th to July 30th. The specific date is a recent change from just a decade estimate. That may indicate some level of activity. I also would like to know more and hopefully someone has a more informed answer than mine.

I'll try to get an update on my '21 GLE350 this week and perhaps my rep will know a little more about Vance. I try not to annoy him for updates any more than needed.

On 2021 GLE350's - the outstanding balance of 2020's is scheduled to run thru 2nd decade August... then 1st production of 2021's are currently scheduled to start end-August.
If 2021 production start's up on schedule - then MBUSA will "stack up" 2021 production for formal US release.
At this moment my "best guess" for 2021 US release would be end-October

Thanks fabbrisd1. That fits with what my dealer told me when I asked them a couple of weeks ago about changing my 2020 GLE450 order (with a build date currently set for July 8). He said it would be probably November before I would see a 2021, which now makes sense. I assume that there is no difference between 350 vs. 450 production timing.

My interpretation of the link below is that Vance is operational. Production rate in terms of vehicles per day, and % of max output is not provided.
The website appears to be provided for employees, so they can check their working shift status - "Am I scheduled to work?" kind of thing. I had a reason to check this because I want to visit the Vance visitors' center next week, but it is closed unfortunately.

Checked today with my rep who says as far as he knows Vance is running. I now have a PO and confirmation on my car but he didn't send me the timeline to date from Netstar. And since still scheduled for 3D August, I'm guessing things are on track for the moment.

According to an employee video by the President and CEO called the “Star report” on the MBUSI web site, it appears Vance is operating two shifts. See the “Vimeo” videos link on the bottom of the MBUSI site.
