Hi everyone!
Production of my car finished on June 16, 2020, and the next day the car left Tuscaloosa. On July 18,2020 it entered Bremerhaven (after Brunswick), and since then it stuck there. Today is 41th day since it entered Bremerhaven. Is it a normal practice? I contacted my local dealership, they don't have any information regarding expected shipping date.
From Bremerhaven the cars is to be sent to Graz, Austria.
Looking forward to your replies. Thanks!

Only speculation here-- could there be some kind of EU certification delay for the new model?

Shipment to Europe is a nightmare. Mine went from Tuscaloosa to Brunswick, Bremerhaven (Germany), Koper (Slovenia), Barcelona (Spain) and from there to my dealer in the North of Spain. It took more than 3 months for the whole shipment (12 September to 27 December)...
My car was stuck there for a good month and a half 2019 December shipping to Vancouver BC Canada by ship. Toronto guys got it 1st by rail.

I ordered the car on March 2, 2020. The agreed delivery time was 180 days.
My MB GLE350de was produced on August 28 in Tuscaloosa.
As early as September 5, he was in Brunswick.
It was transported by RORO ship from September 13 to October 4.
in Bremerhaven since October 4th.
It is now 26.10.2020., And the status is still unchanged ...
I can't discover why it takes so long. The importer for Croatia says that the transport from Bremerhaven-DE to Zagreb should not take longer than 3 days.

What a mess with European shipments. Even my car took over 2 weeks from Alabama to NJ, which would be, according to the railroads, a 3 day journey on an express freight shipment. I suppose it all has to do with sufficient vehicles for a shipment wherre Zagreb would be one of a number of destinations. Hope you see it soon.

Do any European members of this site have comments on work status at ports, particularly Bremerhaven but also Amsterdam, Genoa, Bilbao and others?
Are 100% of dock workers back to work? Are port operations working full schedules?

my GLE 350de built on 08/21 arrived in Bremerhaven since 09/27. No information on the date of arrival in France. Logistics is a real disaster ...

ExploreMy GLE53 was built the first decade o July. It arrived in Ottawa, ON. Canada . That was 50 days in transit .Thar is longer than a car coming from Germany. In my case, there was a certification issue and the vehicle was held up. According to my dealer, the normal transit period from Alabama is 30 days maximum.
