4700 CAD price increase for 2021 gle450

Unfortunately its true.... I just took delivery of my 2020 GLE450, I was debating waiting and getting a 2021 but my dealer told me to grab the 20 as there was a big price increase coming. He said around 4K so your number sounds about right !

How would an Aluminum Tariff for raw materials make the price go up more in Canada than in the US or other Countries. Wouldn’t it just raise the cost of the car to Mercedes if that’s the source of their Aluminum? Mercedes might not even use Canadian Aluminum in the US.

Our prices in Canada were already much cheaper when you convert the US dollar to Canadian. We are still getting a good deal. Now the GLE53 is 2500.00 than the coupe in Canada. It was the opposite on the 20 model.

Don’t believe it. Most times I visit my local MB dealer the sales person I usually chat with uses the phrase “price increase.” It’s a scare tactic and backed up by MB price increases. The reason doesn’t matter.

I just checked mercedes-benz.ca and the 21s are now there. The price has in fact gone up by $4700 for the base car plus the night package went up $200. My car would cost an additional $4900 !

Yep, I saw that too! Guess we are on the same boat. I wonder if I could negotiate some discount from the dealer since my had this in preorder for so long.

Actually, I don’t quite know why. I was told by the dealer that was the reason. However, the price on the website has confirmed the price change. I guess I have to negotiate with them.
