Rattle/Buzz Right Rear Door

I have an annoying rattle from the rear roof area, sounds like its the sunroof or the sunroof retractable shade. Taking it to the dealer next week to have it looked at.

From day 1, I have rattle sound on the rear left passenger seat when i go through rough road or hump.
Initially its quite faint but 3 months now, it gets quite obvious.
This sound will disappear when someone seat at the back. or when i fold the second row seats.
The service center acknowledge the sound of rattling and will try to check in details when i send for the next servicing.
IMO the build quality not as good as my last S-Class, though the price is almost similar.

I habe that too
I hear an electric shortcut sound from the speaker on the central pillar/roof (high end burmester), when pavement is not smooth. It is horrible. If i press the speaker with my hand no noise. If sound off, noise remains. If led lighting around speaker is off, noise remains. I have service the 28th and will complain. I also have sunroof but i dont think is from there, i dont know.

Were you able to have this noise in the headliner resolved? I have had 2 Mercedes dealerships try to resolve this constantly over almost a 4 year span and they haven’t been able to resolve it. To me it seems like it has something to do with the sunroof

I have another rattle from either the passenger rear or rear passenger headliner that’s driving me nuts. I hate this car so much for inconveniencing me. I f$&!ing hate, HATE wasting my time going to the dealership.

Why not find a dealership near you that will do pickup and have them drop off a loaner? Once I found one that does it near me I never step foot in a dealership for service ever again.

There’s no dealer near me that will pick up my car for repairs.
I freaking swear this car deserves to be in a junk pile. Another f$#%!ng rattle from the front headliner. That’s freaking two up there now although this one isn’t related to the sun visor rattle as far as I can tell. It’s coming more from the rear view mirror area I think. This car is such a burning POS. I’ve seen better quality from a 20-year-old Ford.

Hi ischaufert. Yes the solution was selling the gle. Then buy an x5. No more noises.

Yeah, my X5 was tight as a freaking drum; no squeaks or rattles at all. The amount of complaints involving squeaks and rattles on their forum were immeasurably less as well.
This tells me one thing: MB’s factory workers do sloppy work with very little oversight and/or quality control. That factory is a complete joke.

New 2023 GLE 350 less than 1 month old and less than 150 miles driven and I notice some ratting sound in the front dash. Did not go to the dealer yet. Any suggestions on what It could be ?

It could be anything since this car rattles and squeaks so much from EVERYWHERE. I have five rattles, six if you count the one that was already fixed, that started rattling the freaking second I left the lot. Really, quality control couldn’t catch that?
If I close my eyes I can imagine myself driving around in some 40-year-old taxi in some third-world country because that is what it probably sounds like. This is Mercedes: ****-poor engineering + unskilled I-don’t-give-a-crap factory workers.

I’m hear you. I’m the same way. I freaking hate having to go the dealership. I didn’t spend this much money to have to endure this many hassles so soon after purchase. That’s why this car is a burning pile of trash that I regret buying. If I sell it for a loss, it would be like this POS stabs me twice. I’m trapped in this bucket of bolts.

FWIW, Squeaks and Rattles are the selling dealer's responsibility. They, and other faults are collectively called "Service Adjustments."
Initially and during the first year, the selling dealer is responsible for such "adjustments" because they've been paid for their PDI. (I haven't verified this since '17, so it may have changed, but doubtful.)
Many dealers will perform the Selling Dealer's duties out of Good Will, but they may be reluctant since they weren't paid initially, but not all.
It's like anything else - your router, your garage door opener or your pruning job - if you don't use the provider's service to fix it, the problem will continue. Funny how that works.

It is ironic that I Promised myself that I will never buy a Germán/European car since first Germán car which was Mercedes(used) after dealing with many problems and I ended up buying again a new Mercedes(to make my better half happy..:-) and now I have to deal with all the problems...
