Removing the STAR on the front Grille

Has anyone attempted to remove the STAR on the front grille.
As far as can gather it either twists off ant-clockwise or it clips into place.
I tried the twisting one as my GLC's star came off that way, but the GLE seem to be different /
Any thoughts

I agree it doesn’t deserve it. What are you replacing it with?

I need to get into the space behind the bumper without removing the whole thing.
Had a get-together with a bird and the subsequent impact un-clipped the black plastic grille, and no way getting it back. Nothing looks broken though....

It's not too bad, but still.. i know it's there...

It's a bit hard to do, you might need to apply some extra force. Is it not possible to pull the part forward - stick your fingers in there and just pull gently?

I tried, took the skin off my fingers !! Last resort is to remove the bumper, and that seem like a lot of work...
